((Hall outside of Main Sickbay – StarBase 118))

Taida tried to portray an air of confidence through her posture, like she hadn't just graduated and she knew her way around the base. She might pull it off better if she hadn't spent the last fifteen minutes in the wrong area.

oO How did I manage to graduate when I can't even find my way around a base? Oo

Taida shook her head, stopping for a moment to take a breath. Hopefully her commander wasn't too strict on the meet up time for new ensigns. She had wanted to impress him and show up early but now she was a few minutes late. She'd never presume that being routinely late was acceptable but surely just once, especially if it was your first time on base as an officer?

If her commander knew her before she was in Starfleet Academy, he would've known her being only late by five minutes was on time for her. Of course, any commander would have looked at her child self and said she wasn't Starfleet material. She had more daydreams than sense, as her grandma liked to say. But she grew up and started focusing on school more and, well, she and her grandma aren't as close as they once were . . .

Realizing that she was just making herself even more late, she stepped through the door.

Standing at the door, Taida took in the room. Unlike the clean, filtered air just outside in the hall, there was a slight medicinal note in the air, very faint but alerted to Taida that she was indeed in the right place. If the Andorian in the commander's uniform wasn't confirmation enough. Thankful that she got a description of her commander, she was sure this was him.

He and a medical officer, a Trill as far as she could tell, were taking advantage of the fact that only them and other medical personal were here at the moment and having a meeting of some kind.

Taida hestitated for a moment, wondering if she shouldn't interrupt their conversation and if it was possible for her to duck back out before they noticed her.

Foster: Bajoran, Ensign, Science… ::He looked up, antennae quavering:: Probably the person who just came through the door. ::Wyn realized that he really had no clue how to be an Executive officer and he couldn’t remember what twelve years of tempering did to make him one.  But he knew what it felt like to be a newly assigned officer on a new ship. And he didn’t want Ensign Bremi to feel like she was left hanging. So he walked forward and smiled.:: Hello, Ensign Bremi?

Taida was a bit surprised to find Lt. Commander Foster was just a bit taller than her but she quickly checked her biases. She had hazel brown eyes and several earrings with chains connecting them unobstructed by her short brown hair.

Bremi: ::lets go of the breath she was holding, glad to see he didn't seem to even notice she was late:: Hello, Commander Foster. I'm happy to be here.

Foster/Sylvax: ?

Foster: I’m Dr. Wyn Foster – Also Lt. Commander Foster, but I’m not exactly at my best right now. That’s OK, we’re actively working on fixing it.  This is Dr. Ryden Sylvax.  Welcome to the team!

Bremi: Are you sick, Sir? O-oh! The memory thing! I was told that you lost your memories - I mean, briefed on the situation. ::Taida put her hands behind her back to wiggle her fingers and get rid of some of the embarrassed energy.:: Is there anything I can do to help?

Foster/Sylvax: ?
