It had been nearly a month since Aine last saw Talar R'Mor, the Romulan Commander she'd helped rescue years ago, now heading up orbital security for the new joint colony effort between the Romulan Free State and the Republic. Things seemed to be heading in the right direction, for now. Both sides seemingly choosing to at least try. Though Aine still had her suspicions. They were Romulans after all. Nonetheless, they'd settled on a small peninsula that was unoccupied on the equator of nearby New Scotland.

Talar himself was interesting as Romulans went. A career officer who was loyal yet not fanatical. After the incident in the Briar Patch he'd resigned his commission to help with settling refugees, despite not being a loyal subject of the Republic. It was this almost neutrality that caused the Free State to ask him to return to duty protecting both sides.

The colony itself was already on "shake and bake." The Romulans were good at two things, 1) keeping secrets, and 2) occupying. She'd seen it herself with the refugees the crew of the Resolution had helped. The prefab structures went up in hours. Semi-permanent and could easily be built upon to expand into a fully permanent building. The colony , which rumor has it would be named Fviafv, Romulan for bright as in the light of the future, would even have a senate building for use by the joint colonial government. Aine couldn't wait to visit. But that would have to wait. For today, Talar had asked a favor of her, a simple introduction to someone on 118 that could assist with moving in supplies and such. And that person was right on time.

Sherlock: Lieutenant Blackwell, thank you for coming.

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: Umm ::beat:: is it okay to call you Lieutenant Blackwell, or would you prefer a different address?

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: Okay, will do. I know things on one-one-eight are a bit different, I'm used to how things were on my previous posting and still trying to get used to it here.

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: Yes, why I asked you here. I have a friend who's been put in charge of Orbital Security on that new Romulan colony on New Scotland. He's helping out with a lot of things there as they setup, and he wanted to meet someone with Operations knowledge to help setup supply chains.

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: Excellent. He should be arriving any moment.

And as if on queue, a beeping indicated a ship coming out of warp near the station. Aine turned to the nearest holo display and quickly brought up a view of the ship as it dropped out of warp. And what she saw surprised her.

Sherlock: What the hell!?

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: It's the Romulans all right. But I just didn't expect that ship.

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: It's existence is mostly a rumor. I've only seen one grainy holo image of one. It's type classified as the Type Twenty-Six scout ship. Interesting.

Blackwell: ?

Sherlock: Maybe.

Aine tapped away at the air of the holo display, giving the ship clearance to dock. She really couldn't wait to get an up close look at this thing.
