Haukea recognized that she was shamelessly flirting with Madison in what likely was a highly unprofessional way given the circumstances. Nevertheless, Haukea didn’t care how unprofessional or obvious her flirtatious comments were towards her crush. Didn’t care how easily they gave away her affection towards the woman. It wasn’t like she was trying to hide the affection altogether, what with her future plans.

Willow: Coming from you that sounds like heaven.

Madison Marsh nodded once, letting out a soft laugh at her comment. If Haukea could read others’ expressions as well as she thought she could, she figured based on the Doctor’s reaction that, while she was amused, she was definitely caught off guard. Perhaps she never had a woman flirt with her before? Haukea certainly had, gathering up enough experience in the matter. Nevertheless, Madison Marsh continued to act in a highly professional manner, which made Haukea smile at her strong willed nature.

Marsh: Did you have any additional questions before I start the procedure?

Haukea would have waited til everything was said and done before asking her all important question, yet Marsh’s professionalism, kindness and opportunity for openness provided the perfect moment for her mouth to run away from her.

Willow: Only that when this is over, will you go out with me?

Haukea waited, looking up at the other woman, cheeks a light pink, as she raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner. Yes, Haukea was being entirely bold with her statement, not holding back or hesitating in the slightest, that was just part of who she was. Yet she respected Marsh’s need to process the extremely forward question proposed to her. As such, while she waited, she watched as Marsh carefully held a hypospray, double checking the medicine it contained.

Marsh: Um, sure. It is  always nice to meet new people. Where did you want to go?

Willow: On a date.

Madison’s eyes were wide, likely in partial shock at the direct confirmation that Haukea wanted to go on a date with her. Haukea on the other hand felt mild surprise when Marsh injected her with the hypospray before responding.

Marsh: A date?

Willow: I have something in mind ::She paused gauging the other woman’s reaction:: Does that mean yes?

Madison hummed, Haukea’s heart swelling with adoration, affection and love. If for some particular reason the date was a bust, Haukea was going to hold out hope for a strong friendship to develop. Either way she was going to take the relationship, friendship or otherwise, slow, not willing to rush into anything either of them weren’t currently ready for.

Marsh: You are quite the bold one Haukea. I suppose we could give it a try. Why not right?  Alright let me get to work in making you feel better first. You know what they say about the importance of making a good first impression.

Willow: Well, some say ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression.’ But I tend to disagree only in the fact that every time you interact with someone you are working on making an impression of some sort.

Haukea watched as Marsh held equipment likely pertaining to fixing her broken nose. Not knowing the specifics she wasn’t inclined to ask. Even then, she smiled fondly, appreciating the care and attention Marsh took in repairing the injury.

Marsh: So you are a Risian correct? I have always wanted to visit Risa, it looks like an incredible world. The beaches look gorgeous and I hear there is plenty to do there.

Haukea paid little attention to the actions Marsh took in repairing her facial injury, more focused on the topic of conversation that the woman had brought up.

Willow: I certainly am Risian. I’m Risian and nothing else. Besides, you certainly should visit Risa sometime. I’ll even take you, give you a tour of all the best places. Those without too many tourists. We could make it another date. Not anytime soon of course but one day, if you like.

Marsh: There we go, good as new. I have you all patched up. Do you feel better?

Slowly sitting up Haukea considered the way her nose felt.

Willow: ::Wiggling her nose:: No more burning. That’s good news, so I’ll say I’m feeling pretty good. I’m free to go?

Marsh: Response

Willow: Hey, before I go, I’ll pick you up for that date. When you free?

Marsh: Response

Willow: Really?! At your apartment?! The one across from mine.

Marsh: Response

Willow: Of course I looked it up. I have the power. Anyway..I’ll see you then as planned. Unless you have other ideas.

Marsh: Response
