Lt. Commander Foster - Hello New Face!

The Academy campus green was one of the most beautiful places on the whole of StarBase 118. And seeing that StarBase 118 was a massive Starbase with an entire city in its center, that was saying something.
The Academy employed Venestetta Min, a Phylosian botanist and artist to do their landscaping, and this year she had outdone herself. Large organic shapes cut with different textures and colors made for a scintillating experience walking around the sun-dappled greens.
And it was a great day. A new class of graduates, including one lucky enough to be hand picked to join the prestigious crew of Starbase 118 itself.
Shar’Wyn Foster was a slight, pale Andorian man with bright blue eyes and active antennae. He stepped forward to locate the half Bajoran, newly minted Ensign.
Foster: Hello there, Ensign Arlo?
Arlo: ?
The blue man smiled.
Foster: I’m Lt. Commander Shar’Wyn Foster, executive officer of StarBase 118. I wanted to welcome you onboard and help get you settled here.
His tone was warm and friendly. He moved in a fast, energetic sort of way falling into step with Arlo Zara.
Arlo: ?
Foster: You’re in luck, Ensign. The crew of StarBase 118 is on shore leave right now. You’ll have the chance to settle in and meet the crew and Commander Fairhug.
Arlo: ?
Foster: Well, it’s traditional to bring you up to the station proper on the big central lift. That’ll give you a fantastic view of the city center. From there we’ll disembark on the promenade and we can catch something to eat or drink if you like or just figure out where you new quarters are.
The rumors had it that the quarters on StarBase 118 were spacious, even for Ensigns – especially for ensigns, when compared to ships and other bases.
The rumors were true.
Arlo: ?
Foster: Then come with me! I’m your tour guide and I can answer any questions you have!
Arlo: ?
