((Main Sickbay, Deck 505, Family and General Practice Care, Starbase 118))
In a bright flash of blinding white light, along with a temporary return of her previous head pain, Haukea’s vision blurred before settling back to normality. Upon taking a glance around the room, it was clear then that they had all returned to their original body. Haukea was glad of it, for she wasn’t particularly fond of some of the extra appendages that she acquired while in Kisiv-Sava’s body. Furthermore, though she was expecting it, the burning pain up her nose and tender chin sent a slight shock through her nervous system. It wasn’t until later when the crew had returned to Starbase 118, that she actually took the time to fully acknowledge it. Not because she was avoiding going to medical, but due to the natural convenience of doing it back on base.
Now, having cleaned up slightly, other than the dried blood that had congealed between her nose and upper lip, Haukea stood, hair in two double French braids, big bold matte black heart-shaped earrings, a knee-length, short-sleeved black and pink floral dress, along with a pair of vintage Louis Vuitton sneakers, on deck 505 in front of the Family and General Practice Care center of sickbay. She figured that was the best place to find the doctor she was seeking out.
Entering the medical facility, Haukea went on the hunt for a nurse that could point her in the right direction. Upon spotting one she spoke her inquiry.
Willow: Could you point me in the direction of Dr. Marsh?
The nurse in question simply, with one long arm, pointed towards the blonde in question near a biobed in the back. Haukea nodded her thanks, moving in the direction indicated.
Walking towards Dr. Marsh Haukea could say she wasn’t necessarily nervous, though more so relieved to be asking for care from a woman, in a woman’s body.
Willow: Doctor Marsh?
Doctor Madison Marsh turned slowly, surprise written on her face at seeing Haukea-Willow back into her own physical body. When she had seen her previously the height difference between the two had been reversed, making Marsh taller than usual. Yet, now, with both back in the comfort of the bodies designed for them, it was a relief to be looking down somewhat at the doctor in question.
Marsh: That would be me and you are?
Willow: Ensign Willow. Please call me Haukea. You saw me when you weren’t quite yourself?
Haukea had forgotten the events of her entrance to the pre-mission briefing, the second time she had laid eyes on the beautiful blonde Doctor, the first being during the previous crew party. However, now it appeared more relevant to relate their knowledge of each other to previous and current events. Doctor Madison Marsh nevertheless let shine a smile as she lightly teased Haukea, creating an atmosphere of calm, comfort, and friendship.
Marsh: You just seem to grow and shrink in height every time I see you Haukea. I guess at the end of it all you ended up being the taller one after all. What brings you in to see me?
Willow: Ummm… ::She had a brief thought of an old fairy tale story she heard during her time at the academy, what was it…Alice in Wonderland? Wizard of Oz?:: I thought we could finally get my face checked out. It does kind of burn.
Haukea spoke in a cheerful manner, voice negating the discomfort that came with the description of ‘a burning sensation’. Naturally, the burning sensation, as described, had Haukea reacting in her typical nonchalant manner. It hurt but not so much that she physically reacted. Besides, when Doctor Marsh glanced up at her with bright ocean-blue eyes, it was difficult to concentrate on her physical symptoms.
Marsh: Please take a seat on the biobed and I will get started.
Willow: Sure thing.
Haukea, motioned by Marsh’s gesture towards the nearby biobed, hopped onto the surface, legs dangling, swinging back and forth. Marsh, for a moment, was preoccupied by some sort of information on her data PADD, likely that of Haukea’s medical file. Not that there was much of note to it. A few childhood illnesses here or there along with common injuries, like a scrapped knee. Though when Marsh finally looked up, ocean eyes locking with her’s, a slight shudder ran up her spine.
Marsh: Haukea, do you have any other pronounced symptoms in addition to the burning sensations that you feel on your skin?
Willow: It's not exactly on my skin. It burns up my nose from the inside. I suspect that my nose is broken…though I’ve never broken my nose before….Other than that just my chin. As you can see I’ve bruised it pretty badly. It's tender.
Once again Marsh’s gaze returned to her data PADD, likely to gather more information before preceding.
Marsh: Are you allergic to anything?
No allergies but a few substances did make her itch horribly. Did that count?
Willow: No, but grass does make me itch horribly but we don’t get much actual grass out here on a starbase. Also being in direct sunlight makes me itch too, though I suspect that’s because…actually, I don’t actually know. Do those count as allergies?
Marsh didn’t directly respond to her reply, to the allergy-related question, not yet anyway, but instead entered more data onto her PADD. Haukea herself merely attempted not to keep talking.
Marsh: Who is your primary care Doctor? I can send them an updated report after your treatment today.
Another important question that didn’t have a direct answer. Haukea didn’t exactly have a primary care doctor. Not at the moment anyway.
Willow: No one. I mean I did see Doctor Arys but I’ve heard she’s no longer around. You can go ahead and hook me up with another one, preferably female.
Marsh: Response
Willow: You?! I mean….I’m not opposed. You do have a great bedside manner. ::Haukea blushed::
Marsh: Response
Willow: No other concerns. I’m usually healthy, don’t get sick often. No chronic concerns.
Marsh: Response
Willow: Sure…Sure. You want me sitting or laying down?
Marsh: Response
