((Bridge - USS Narendra))

Taelon: Long story. ::He said that quickly, nearly under his breath, before he spoke up again.:: She’s, um, trustworthy. She’s been fighting the cult for nearly 20 years.

Dal: Then her insight should be invaluable.

Talas: It feels nice to have someone on our side.

Galven: ?

Taelon: I worked for her s-some. It didn’t...um, end well.

Dal: Lieutenant, forgive me if I mix up my history but didn’t she stab you?

Taelon’s eyes widened - bugged out, even - and he nodded, after a moment’s hesitation.

Talas: Klingons do like to do that.

Taelon glanced at Talas and nodded, still flushing. He rubbed the back of his neck; this was complex, and it was, indeed, a long story, but...

Tealon: I, um, I - I kind of had it coming...it was a symbolic thing.

Galven: ?

Dal: Well, I admit Klingons are not the only species with a deep cultural symbology to fighting with bladed weapons.

Galven: ?

Taelon nodded in agreement - his own people technically had fought with every kind of weapon conceivable, but blades had their own special reverence. In theory, anyway. He’d never seen or met any sword-saints other than his mother.

Whatever inner thoughts he was struggling with, he shrank back as Dal beamed Kaskis directly to the bridge. He’d thought he might have had time to move to another part of the ship, but no. Of course not.

Dal: Huntress Kaskis Ril?  ::he queried politely, already assuming who he was speaking with by her presence.:: Welcome to the USS Narendra.  I am Commander Ishreth Dal.  Lieutenant Taelon, Ensigns Galven and Talas.  ::he gestured to each in turn.::

Kaskis was what one might have expected from someone with the ‘Huntress’ title; she was tall, muscular, and overall ample in build. While clad head to toe in traditional Klingon leather and steel armor, the few patches of skin visible were dark and ruddy. Her hair was a crown of long, cared for and braided dreadlocks, decorated with rings and clasps.

Her eyes were quite prominent, mostly because it was quite clear she hadn't expected to be whisked off her shuttle. Surprise turned to annoyance, her lips curling open to reveal pointed teeth, but she quickly took stock of her position and steeled her expression.

Kaskis: Commander. ::Her voice still held a bit of a hiss. She looked around the bridge, from one officer to another. Her eyes stared on Taelon for longer than the others.:: You are...prompt.

Talas: Welcome aboard.

Talas said politely, he did not say more than was needed.

Galven: ?

Taelon said nothing, having moved so Galven was between him and the Klingon, sitting down and turning slightly. He raised a hand in greeting, and that was enough for her gaze to find him again. Her stare was like a pin to a moth - he froze.

Thankfully, Dal spoke, and she looked back to him, saying nothing.

Dal: I understand you have a keen interest in seeing the Cult of Molor defeated, and in this we are aligned.

Kaskis: I do, Commander. They’ve been a blight on our honor for far too long. ::She smiled, showing her sharp teeth again, but there was a humor there - dark though it might be.:: Today they will regret crossing the Empire and its allies. I aim to ensure that comes to fruition..

Talas: If there’s anything you can do to our sensors to help us detect their vessels, that would help a lot.

Galven/Dal/Talas: ?

Kaskis looked sharply at Talas, taking a moment to process his request, her gaze darting back to Taelon. Eyes still on him, she tilted her head.

Kaskis: I can. ::She looked at Dal.:: Commander. My husband is aboard my shuttle. Will you allow him to dock with your… ::The slightest pause, as she waved a hand at the Narendra’s bright, clean architecture.:: Ship? We carry a gift that will aid you in finding the traitor’s ships.

Galven/Dal/Talas: ?

Kaskis: A modified cloaking device, taken in battle from the traitor’s own bellies. It will show them to you, and hide you besides. ::She pointed to Taelon, who was still trying to remain behind Galven and his console.:: Tselu will know how to install it.

Galven/Dal/Talas: ?

Taelon: ::Taelon covered his face with his hands, but nodded when prodded.:: Y-yes, I, um, I can…

Galven/Dal/Talas: ?

Kaskis sniffed, derisively.

Kaskis: Taelon, Tselu, it does not matter. We have work to do.

Galven/Dal/Talas: ?
