Willow: Well, if you ever require a gym partner, you're welcome to give me a call sh’Sonora.
Surprised by Willow’s offer, Mi’shune smiled brightly.
sh’Sonora: I’d love that. Thank you!
sh’Sonora’s Inner Dialogue: oO I hope she knows what she’s getting into. You can be pretty hardcore at times. Oo
sh’Sonora: oO She’s a security officer, I’m sure she can handle it. Yeah… she can handle it, right? Oo
Willow: Voss, sh’Sonora, likewise, if either of you would like a tour of the station, I can show you my favorite cafes, parks, beaches, walking paths. We could have a movie night. Discuss the cinematography produced by the 1940s camera and the dutch angle.
sh’Sonora: I… ummm… yeah! Sounds great!
Mi’shune flushed, embarrassed at her ignorance. She heard of a dutch angle, but didn’t know enough about it to utilize it in a film. Or record a film in any professional capacity, for that matter. Mi’shune was a connoisseur of corny schlock, a maven of martial arts mayhem, a subcommander of subtitled ultraviolence. Auteur films were, frankly, over her head at times.
sh’Sonora’s Inner Dialogue: oO The unsophisticated Mi’sh finds a bigger film buff with better taste. You see, you need to expand your horizons. That’s why you need a mentor. Oo
sh’Sonora: oO Shut it, brain. I’ll give it a try, but the second she pulls out the French New Wave I’m gonna warp outta there. Oo
Voss: That would be great. And I certainly wouldn’t turn down a tour. I have to admit that I’m not much of a hot weather/beach person though. Thalzed may not be Andoria-cold, but it is the northernmost continent on Betazed, so I grew up with cold, rocky beaches, not warm, sandy ones. I’d love to find a skating rink though, if there’s one on the station? I have a holosuite program, but it just isn’t the same.
sh’Sonora: By my people’s standards I’m tropical! But for us tropical is more like… Risa’s polar caps? Betazed’s northern continent? Ummmm… Scandinavia on Earth? Yeah, that’s it! They have nice beaches, don’t they?
Willow: ?
Voss: I’ll have to check it out! My family has a small lake near the back of our property and it’s frozen almost half the year, so my siblings and I would spend forever out there skating. Actually, it might be the one activity we all love. ::smiling:: There’s six of us, so it’s hard to find something we all agree on. What about you, lieutenant? Do you have siblings?
Willow: ?
Voss: Have you had time to go visit them lately? I imagine it’s tough to get away.
Willow: ?
Lyra nodded, and turned to her friend.
Voss: How are your sisters, Mi’sh? Is Mikaiu still on the Galaxy?
The excitable Andorian didn’t remember mentioning her siblings to Lyra. Did she? Had to have been during her second year, that was when sister Mika ran off with her human husband and left the youngest of the Sonora girls as the sole remaining eligible heir. Or at least was until her clan disowned her for not leaving Starfleet. Regardless, it gave the Andorian ensign a point of reference.
sh’Sonora: Oh yes! Married their chief of security, now she teaches primary school. She’s quite happy. Haven’t heard from my eldest sister in awhile. Too busy on tour, but I hear about it every time she makes the galactic billboards or shows up half-naked in a men’s holomag… ::She rolls her eyes and flicks her antennae.:: Yup, all you need for fame and fortune is a great voice and the best biosculpting latinum can buy. Oh well, she’s living her best life.
Any: ?
