:: Humans.  Mei'konda had been allowed to sit up in bed, finally, and he found there were a number of conversations going on in the Garuda's Sickbay that he felt it best he not listen to.  Commander Ross was here, an officer that Mei'konda had nothing but respect for.  But after witnessing his closeness to Captain Reynolds out of the corner of his eyes and picking up on a few stray words with his sensitive ears despite himself, he decided it would be best not to open that particular can of worms just yet. ::

:: But, there was Shryker.  He made his way slowly over, squinting through the one eye of his that was uncovered - the regenerative head wrapping he'd be wearing for the next few hours was a little stifling.  He offered the woman a measured smile. ::

MEI'KONDA: Lieutenaant Shryker.  I hope your injurries are not too severe.

:: The human woman looked up toward him, and smiled.  That was a relief. ::

SHRYKER: Hiya. Any news on the Captain or the Mercury?

:: Captain Kells.  A strange man that he'd had little opportunity to get to know over the last year.  Now, it looked like he probably wouldn't be getting that chance.  The Caitian glanced away, and rubbed at the back of his neck. ::

MEI'KONDA: No detaails on the Mercury yet, only thaat she is under tow from the Garuda, and... is mostly uninhaabitable.  Very few faatalities, but many casualties.  Like us.  She will not be seeing serviice for some time.

SHRYKER: [Tag]

MEI'KONDA: As for the Captaain... I was hoping you could fill me in, Lieutenaant.  You were with him on the surfaace, piloting the shuttle, after all...?
