Is’Kah: The night is young, my friend. Is there anything yo-

She was cut off when someone slammed into her, covering her in a curry dish. Yellow liquid dripped from her hair, coating half of her face, while her dress was covered with the rest of the dish. The to-go container and bag pooled the remaining liquid over her shoes.

Ezra Zerva: Oh my gosh! Are you both okay?

The hybrid turned to the woman who had run into them. She was average height and wore about as much of her dinner as Is’Kah. When the Vulcan hybrid spoke, she expressed concern for the other person's health.

Is’Kah: Are you alright?

Woman: I am so sorry, you’re covered in my dinner.

Is’Kah: I’ve been covered in worse while in Starfleet. It really isn’t a big deal, as my hotel is a few blocks away. Don’t worry about it.

Woman: Are you sure?

Is’Kah: I am.

Ezra Zerva: ::hands the woman a clean napkin from his to go box:: Here you go. I’m so sorry you lost your lunch. Take this credit and use it for dinner, please.

Woman: Thank you. Again, I’m really sorry.

The crosswalk started beeping at the pair to walk, causing Is’Kah to pick up a mostly clean napkin from the bag. The petite woman started cleaning her face as she began crossing the street.

Ezra Zerva: I still have my leftovers if you want some later. I’m just glad nothing worse happened.

Is’Kah: Well, It appears that we shall have a slight delay in the rest of our evening. I hope you don’t mind waiting for me to get cleaned up and changed. You can come to my room and enjoy the view instead of waiting in the lobby.

Ezra Zerva: Sounds good to me. Let’s get you cleaned up.

((Brief Timeskip. Is’Kah’s hotel room))

The room was near the top floor, full of neutral colors, with a couch under the window and a bed in the middle with an origami swan made from a white towel resting on the pillows. Putting the door card on the dresser's edge, Is’Kah stepped out of her curry-covered shoes.

Ezra looked around. The room was nice with simple furnishings, but cozy at the same time.

Is’Kah: The viewer's remote is next to it; feel free to do whatever.

Ezra Zerva: Thanks.

The small hybrid smiled at Ezra before heading to the small bathroom. It wasn’t long before the sound of the shower slipped out from under the closed door, along with a soft hum as Is’Kah softly sang in the shower.

Ezra turned to look out the window of the nearly top floor, where Is’Kah was staying. He could see the stars all though it wasn’t the best vantage point from here. Looking at each one he saw himself staring and wondering, have I been there before? Did I go to that place? He strained trying to see where his people's home planet of Trill or the stars located in the Alpha Isles were located from his vantage point. He knew that he couldn’t see them from here with just the naked eye. Space was so big and vast.

oO There’s the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. I see the Orion’s Belt. Oo

Hearing Is’Kah hum brought a smile to his face. He began to wonder what they would do next. There were plenty of places in San Francisco they could visit. Even more than that, there was a whole planet worth exploring. Even while growing up here on Earth, there were still lots of places he hadn’t yet visited. The night was indeed young and he wanted to enjoy every minute of it with his friend.

Once Is’Kah had cleaned up, she stared at her reflection, her heart pounding in her side. Strands of hair dripped water onto the countertop. Closing her eyes, she let out a slow breath, centering herself. She was certain she wanted to take the next step, but would Ezra? It was time to find out.

The bathroom door opened, steam bellowing out before Is’Kah entered the main part of her hotel room. She only wore a towel wrapped around her, hanging below her knees. She swallowed hard, looking at the tall back of the other Trill before speaking in a sultry tone, a sly smile on her face.

Is’Kah: Are you enjoying the view, Ezra?

Ezra was indeed enjoying his view of Tycho city on Earth’s moon. Perhaps the two of them could go there for the rest of the evening? He was unaware that she was only wearing a towel as he continued his gaze into the night sky.

Ezra Zerva: It’s beautiful this time of year don’t you think?

Is’Kah: It is.

The petite woman smirked at her friend's nativity. Most men would have turned around and hoped they’d glimpse something. His respect for her was so endearing; it was one of the reasons she liked him so much.

Is’Kah: Ezra, would you like to select my outfit tonight? Do you prefer this on or off?

Ezra Zevra: Sure, I’d be happy to help.

He slowly turned around, eyes wide as he saw her standing there all wet with just a towel on. His left hand began to twitch ever so slightly. In the moon's light that darted through the window he realized in that moment just how beautiful she looked.

Is’Kah smiled at Ezra’s reaction, the shock on his face adorable and attractive to the small hybrid. She wasn’t going to interrupt his first look, as he confirmed in her mind that for whatever reason he hadn’t been with a partner for naked fun time before.

Ezra Zerva: I uh ::blushing:: You should uh ::stuttering:: uh put something off. I meant on. I mean take something, I mean-

He stuttered over his words. It wasn’t something he’d expect was going to happen this evening. They had shared one too many drinks the first time they reconnected in the Alpha Isles after graduating from Starfleet Academy. It resulted in them both passing out in his room and waking up the next day to puppy kisses. Is’Kah had assured Ezra nothing had happened between them besides sleeping it off. A perfect gentleman she had told him. Now he was here with her and she was standing there waiting for him to decide what to do next.

Ezra was flustered, his face was flushed red and he was nervous. He was trying his best to remain calm, but a feeling of anxiety raced over him. In that moment he felt like he was a sinking ship trying to remain afloat. She was his friend. One that he’d known when he was younger on Vulcan before his mother was reassigned and his family was forced to move again. Their paths had crossed a second time at the Academy. Most of their time was spent in separate classes, but they did manage to find some small moments between and after classes to catch up. They had reconnected last year and Ezra was excited to have her be a regular part of his life once again. Despite all of that, he wasn’t sure. He liked her a lot. His feelings towards her had grown to a new appreciation after she had stood up to his mother. He felt like he could tell her just about anything and she’d understand. But was he ready for this? To take the next step? A small part of him wanted to tell her he preferred the towel off. He had never done this before, the closest he’d ever got was that very night they’d passed out. He had only ever been on one date before graduation at the Academy. Moving things forward with his friend would not only change their relationship, but it would mean at least to him that they were more than that. It might be easy for anyone else to say yes, but for him?

Is’Kah: So, you’d like to see me take this off?

She asked in a sultry tone while slinking over to him. Tenderly, she slid her hand across his cheek before drawing him for a very light kiss across the lips before stepping back, giving him the space to decide without any more pressure from her.

One thing about being a touch telepath was that she could read surface thoughts, especially when the person was emotional. She knew the questions that tore through his brain, yet she wouldn’t pressure him anymore. She had made her intentions clear before sitting on the bed's edge, smiling at Ezra.

Ezra’s body was on fire, screaming at him to stop standing there as she stood next to him with her soft hand on his face and tender kiss on his lips. He was simultaneously turned on and confused at the same time. He was trying his hardest to think straight.

Is’Kah: Or we could catch a show somewhere. What can we do?

She wasn’t making it easy for him. He cautiously sat beside her on the bed. He reached over with his hands taking hers in his. His face beat red.

Ezra Zerva: I… I care about you. Your friendship means the world to me. ::looks into her eyes:: I’m so glad you came here to be with me. It means more to me than you know. You’re one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of my life. I want to be with you more than anything, but I need to know what this means to you? To us? To our friendship?

Is’Kah: Ezra, you are not a one-night stand, nor are you just a fling to me. If that were all, we wouldn’t have spoken after Frontier Day. You are a dear friend, and I’d like to see where it goes. If you are concerned about Ghee, having multiple partners is acceptable in her culture, and she’s already told me that I can explore things with you. No matter what happens, I just want to see you smile and have a wonderful life. If that’s not with me, that’s alright. Your happiness matters to me.

He felt bad at first talking about it. He was worried he was making things weird and pushing her away. He didn’t want to ruin the moment or have his friend be upset with him for not wanting to rush into anything. He did have some concerns with her wife Ghee, as he knew they were married. The last thing he wanted was to get in between a married couple. Ezra was still learning about Andorian culture and how that all worked with multiple partners. He smiled hearing her words and it made Ezra happy to know his happiness was a priority to her, just as it was to him

Ezra Zerva: ::smiling:: Your happiness matters to me too and I’d like to see where this goes. ::nervous:: If you’re okay waiting?

The hybrid smiled at her friend, brushing her hand across his cheek.

Ezra found himself shivering at her touch. His whole body felt like putty under her when she touched him like that. He could have easily fallen to her beauty and given in to temptation, if not for her hand withdrawing when she did.

Is’Kah: Then we shall wait.

She stood, smiling at her friend while gesturing to the closet.

Is’Kah: You did say you’d be happy to select what I am wearing tonight, shall we?

Ezra Zerva: ::nods standing up:: Yes I did. You know my favorite colors are red and black right?

Is’Kah: Good thing I packed a black miniskirt and a red blouse, right?

She pulled both out of the closet and held them to her.

Is’Kah: Something like this?

Ezra Zerva: ::grins:: Hell yeah! That looks great on you! Oh before I forget, a couple of friends of mine from the Khitomer mentioned wanting to get together nearby at a place called Warp Core-oke Club just a couple of blocks away. Would you like to go and be my hot date tonight and make everyone jealous of me?

Is’Kah: Of course I would. I am familiar with the club as it’s on the must-visit at least once if you’re an engineering cadet. As for being your hot date, should I wear a tube top instead of a blouse?

Ezra Zerva: I love the blouse. Maybe have the shoulders on the blouse drop down a little more on either side and pair it with a pretty necklace that matches your earrings?

The Vulcan hybrid smiled while tipping her head to him.

Is’Kah: As you wish.

Taking her clothes, she returned to the bathroom to dress for the evening out.
