Charles felt the laughter warp away from his face. Hell, it sped away from him as if his joy had just entered a transwarp conduit. Those words, that name; Doctor Alix Harford; it was not a name that he’d thought he’d hear again, and definitely not so soon. Certain the colour had drained from his face; he forced himself to answer Doctor Ohnari.
Charles: Did you say… Alix Harford?
Ohnari: ::cautiously:: Yes, she actually just arrived as a replacement physician now that Ras has decided to pursue science for a bit.
Charles: You’re joking, right? Is this some weird Khitomer prank that I don’t understand?
Ohnari: Um...while normally I would be all over that....no, I am not attempting to prank you...
Charles: Doctor Alix Harford? ::pause:: Ridiculously to the point? Lacks any discernible sense of humour? ::gestures with his left hand:: So high? Brown hair, eyes you can get lost in? Stunningly pretty with full lips…?
Ohnari: Why yes indeed. I do believe the "Stunningly pretty with full lips" was a highlight on her transfer paperwork, now that I recall.
Matthews felt his face blush with embarrassment. Blush? He was certain his face was as red as a baboon’s backside.
Charles: I’ve said too much.
Ohnari: Why Mr. Matthews, doth one have a history with my fellow physician?
The Lieutenant cast a glance towards the Doctor, his eyes burning a look through her which he was sure was as hot as his cheeks had just gone.
Charles: One… doth… indeed. oO Is that right? Oo I’d… rather not get into it.
Ohnari: ::miming zipping her lips:: Now, I may enjoy whimsy, but I do not go about making officers uncomfortable for fun. oO Wait. Oo Well, I mean, unless I know you better. So, Doctor's honor I shall keep your secret. Can I ask if she knows how you feel about her stunningly pretty self...?
Charles: You know all of this? ::gestures:: It hurts more than the shoulder. If I’m going to be the… victim… of your whimsy, I’d rather just go back to the ship.

Charlie came to a stop, a look etching its way to his face, one that was split between exasperation and asking “really?” all at the same time.
Charles: “Last one”? I think you’re telling me porkies, Doctor.

Charles: Porkies? You know? Pork pies… lies? Rhyming slang from old Earth. Never mind. ::sighs:: We both know it won’t be the “last one”.

It was his turn to smirk.
Charles: I think it would just fly in the face of who you are, Doctor. ::pause:: Alix and I have a history… oO She is my history, and considering doctors are meant to heal she didn’t do much of that too me! Oo …but I am trying to leave it where it is; in the past.

Charles: So… Roberto’s Robotic Curios? If his friends call him Bob, do you ever think “Bobby’s Bobotic Curios” was an option?
