((Main Bridge ~ USS Khitomer))
The mobile privacy screen had been activated, and if she angled just right, no one on the bridge would bear witness to bare...well, it would be covered.
Ohnari: Alright Flyboy, here we go. One, two..::hiss. Except she hadn't deployed the pellet yet. Glancing behind her, she realized it was the lift. Standing adjacent, she locked eyes with the Captain.:: Oh, hey there Sir. ::hiss, turning back:: Alright there you go Lieutenant, thanks for your cooperation.
Talia had not taken a very important element into account. The positioning of the screen blocked the view from the bridge...but not so much the Turbolift. mentally, she was flicking herself in the forehead ridges.
Korras: Sir.
Shayne: Doing alright, Mr. Korras?
Besides being caught pants down in front of the Captain? She didn't know his life...he could have much weirder stories. Which she now decided she needed to ask about....later.
Korras: I suppose I am, sir. Just getting my injection against the radiation.
Ohnari: Yep, yep! Just giving our new pilot a quick shot to keep him protected.
Shayne: …disappointed…
Oh did she ever deserve that. The wince was entirely involuntary. She had been....more than a little heated at the time of that past confrontation, and clearly Captain Shayne's memory was as sharp as always.
Shayne: May I speak to you in private, Doctor?
Saying a prayer to the Gods that she would survive this...she nodded, as dutifully as she could.
Ohnari: Of course sir, ::turning to Korras:: Please inform me if you have any lasting discomfort or noticeable swelling.
Nothing further to delay her, she followed the Captain into his ready room. The sliding of the door never sounded so deafening before.
Shayne: I trust your judgement. If the medication is needed, it’s needed. I trust your instinct. If you feel the crew won’t come to you, you’ll come to the crew. But…
Talia had to bite her cheek.
oO Yeah...the butt is the problem...Oo
Shayne: …on the bridge? Seriously?
She thought about attempting to defend herself, but the oversight meant the Captain got an over-sight of the new pilot's ass...ets.
Ohnari: ::wincing:: Well...with the time crunch, I couldn't expect everyone to come to Sickbay, and I brought the privacy screen! I just...uh...neglected to take into account the turbolift...
The captain folded his arms together, sitting slightly upon the smooth edge of the desk.
Shayne: We could be in a firefight, and the only warning we’d get is a torpedo up our chuff amidship. We could be hailed by diplomats, or Starfleet, or merchants. Is it really wise to have people’s butts on Broadway? I mean, for Christ’s sake, Talia, we have a…
Her brow raised, was he seriously offering her his Ready Room?
Shayne: …first officer’s Ready Room. We have options for privacy- at least, more privacy than the damned command deck.
Again, she had to bite her cheek. He was directing her to Nolen's Ready Room. The meticulously pristine Ready Room...once he stopped sleeping in it of course.
Ohnari: You...want me to set up in Nolen's Ready Room...?
Shayne: Insult to injury, I now get to decide whether I go out there, drop trow and get the same treatment as Mr. Korras, or whether I hole up in here, and allow you to treat me here. What do you recommend?
The Haliian snorted. If she had a million years to predict the outcome of this day, she would never land on the Captain discussing where best to disrobe.
Ohnari: ::holding up her hand in a vow:: I promise no more accidental celestial displays in case we are to be visited by diplomats and their entourage, or fired upon by prudish Lattice Alliance drones ::dropping her hand:: And as far as your treatment, you being the Captain and all, pretty sure you get to claim rank privilege and set up in here.
Shayne: Response
Ohnari: Actually, aside from the uh...incident, you should be pleased. While the injection shall be a momentary discomfort, if the calculations are correct, it should be the last needed. Ever. Doctor Harford and I will have an up to date report on everyone aboard, we can fine tune down to the specific individual based on their specific metabolic needs as it comes to any Sencha exposure.
Shayne: Response
Ohnari: Admittedly the placement is...unpleasant, especially when an entire platoon of Marines line up and...assumes the positions, out in the main Sickbay. ::shuddering:: That is not an image that leaves one's mind swiftly...::clearing her throat awkwardly:: Anyway...since I'm here, if you'll lower your pants...uh...respectfully, of course, Sir.
Shayne: Response
