((Sickbay, Deck 6, USS Khitomer - Lagoon Nebula))
Ras El'Heem was resting, the ship had only minorly shook about, causing her to recheck all the equipment, and nurse Orthin only had...about seven vials that weren't properly secured to clean up....surely no one would notice the large hole in the upper levels of the deckplatting...
...Or they would. And Talia would just shout "SCIENCE!" and move on.
Semara: :: Raised voice :: Got wounded!
Ohnari: ::calling out:: Bring 'em to Biobed four!
A. Dewitt / Zerva: Response
After confirming the caustic chemicals were not coming with her, she left poor Orthin to her task and returned to the main Sickbay in time to see Lieutenant Semara bringing a disheveled looking Lieutenant Zerva through the department. As soon as she reached the exam table, she began adjusting sensors and controls, looking to Semara with a raised brow. It was a signal for her to provide details. And she didn't miss it.
Semara: :: Heavy breathing :: Hard hit to the head. Metal, I think. Heard it 'cross the bridge. Big gash, did what I could. I know how head wounds bleed, but I don't need to tell ya that prolly ain't the big problem... :: Beat :: 'Fore that, console blew. Said he couldn't see. Didn't see it, had my head down. Maybe electrical, maybe chemical, maybe just light. Washed it first I could, just in case.
Ohnari: Thank you Lieutenant, Ezra? I need you to look directly over my head ::the illuminated tip of the tricorder scanned across his eyes, turning towards Ayemet:: Standard dermal regen on that superficial head gash, setting two. Are you having any severe pain or weakness? How blurry do I appear to you?
She was firing questions off one after another, as was usual with emergency care. While the Trill may have a mild concussion, the answering of the questions would tell her how severe, faster than the scan would.
A. Dewitt/Zerva: Response
With Ayemet repairing the superficial head wound, Talia stepped over towards the replicator, making a few minor adjustments. In a whirr, she had the medication at the ready. It was times like these the Haliian CMO found herself wondering about the medicinal practices of the days before replicators. Which, she immediately shook off and decided it was too dower a thought pattern and she had patients to tend to.
Ohnari: Alright Mr. Zerva your head wound has been repaired, ::dipping her head:: Thank you Ayemet. Now you have some minor corneal abrasions and a mild concussion. I am going to give you some medical drops right now, and you'll need to use them before you go to bed. That will repair the damage, and you should anticipate your vision returning to normal after some rest. ::quickly, she placed the drops in each eye swiftly:: Blink several times to allow the drops to distribute correctly, and then I want you to stay right where you are until I say otherwise. ::turning:: Lieutenant Semara, how are you feeling?
A. Dewitt / Zerva: Response
Semara: Hmm? :: Opening her eyes. :: Oh, me? Adrenaline crash. I think. That, or I took more Sencha radiation earlier today than I realized.
Ohnari: Uh huh....::the whirring of the scan finalized with a beep:: We're going to go with option number two...::turning to her deputized friend:: Ayemet? Can you please input the post exposure and Lieutenant Semara's biosignature please? Alright Amelia, you've had a bit more exposure than I am comfortable with, but the good news is, all you have to do is lay right where you are. ::accepting the device:: I am attaching an isotope scrubber ::gently attaching the device to the Betazoid's left thigh:: Sorry for the sting. I'm going to have you bunk up with Ras for a bit since you're both in an exposure protocol. Can the bridge spare you?
It was mainly rhetorical. Lieutenant Semara would be following the protocol, but if she was needed on the bridge, Talia would at least be courteous enough to let command know to call in the reserves.
A. Dewitt/Zerva: Response
Semara: :: A dreamy, swaying closed-eye grin. :: Nah, ship's good now. Cap'n plugged the Hobart Hole with the Ouachita. :: Her eyes flew open. :: Er, we collapsed the anomaly with a shuttle warp field. :: A sigh. :: An' I've been so good not usin' that perfectly fine name all day!
Every once and awhile, the Gods decide to provide blessings in previously unexpected forms. While the science Lieutenant was a bit loopy, a certain phrase seared into the Haliian's brain with the fire of the collapsed anomaly. While Nurse Othin had returned, and was currently wheeling Amelia's bed towards recovery. Her arm shot out, and grasped her friend's arm.
Ohnari: ::to Ayemet:: Please tell me you heard her say it too.
Ayemet: Response
Ohnari: ::awe bled into her tone:: This is the best day of my entire life.
A. Dewitt / Zerva: Response
