((First Officer's Ready Room, Deck 1, USS Khitomer, en route to the Lagoon Nebula))

Ayemet: Am I next? Shall I drop my trousers? :glancing at Hobart: or do something interesting with my tongue? Would that help?

The three men watched the pair of women descend the sloped bridge deck towards the fore-starboard corner.

Hobart: Yep. Definite security risk.

Shayne: Response

Ohnari: ::shushing, she started shoving the woman into the ready room while panicked laughter:: Whaaaat...? ::shoving the door closed:: He doesn't know I told you about the tongue thing!!

Ayemet: :Looking at Korras: Yeah I can make a lot of noise; ask Connor:winking:

Hobart: ::softly:: Sings in the sonic shower. ::beat:: Don't ask how I know.

Korras: If nothing else, a sound dampening field is easily set up.

Shayne: Response

Semara: Cap'n.  Commander.  :: To Korras :: Lieutenant.  :: Beat. :: We haven't met - I'm Lieutenant Semara, how d'you do, sir?

Korras turned around, and nodded to her.

Korras: I am Lieutenant Korras. I am doing well, thank you.

He turned back to his console. They were approaching their destination, and he wanted to make sure that all went well, this being his first day on the job.

Hobart: What have you got Lieutenant?

Shayne: Response

Semara: That's our analysis on the gel-packs.  El'Heem wanted your approval on the action plan based on our findin's.  They'll cache spare packs with the noted modifications where they can, and I can coordinate from here and run the science station - I'll try to give a heads up if we're gonna get a lot a' Sencha.

Hobart: Hopefully you'll have time to give it.

Shayne: Response

Semara: Will do, sir.  :: Beat :: I also took the liberty of makin' some personal notes you may wanna look at.

Hobart: Let's have shields at the ready when we exit warp, Mr. Korras.

Korras: Of course, sir. I will have them raised as soon as we exit warp speed, and I will have maneuvers ready to evade if needed.

Shayne / Semara: Response

((Timeskip, two hours later, Bridge))

Hobart: ::to Shayne, confiding whisper:: My butt hurts. Does your butt still hurt? Is that normal?

Korras heard some creaking behind him, and assumed the commander was talking to the captain. He ignored it, as they were approaching their target.

Korras: We are approaching our destination, preparing to exit warp.

Shayne / Ayemet / Semara / Any: Response

Hobart: Long-range scanners?

Korras: Nothing yet on the sensors. Exiting warp in 3.. 2.. 1.. now.

Shayne / Ayemet / Semara / Any: Response

As he powered down the warp engines, the streaking of stars stopped, and turned solid. He kept his eyes on the sensors as he raised the shields. Without delay, the shield emitters powered up.

Hobart: Well, nobody's shooting at us. ::nod:: Promising start.

Korras: Shield are raised. Long range sensors are indicating several comets, but I am not reading any power emissions from ships.

Shayne / Ayemet / Semara/ Hobart / Any: Response

He adjusted the sensors, trying to pick up the probe. He got a return that could be it.

Korras: I am detecting an object the size of a probe, but no concentration of Sencha radiation. Should I plot a course to it?

Shayne / Ayemet / Semara/ Hobart / Any: Response

Korras: Aye sir, adjusting course.

Shayne / Ayemet / Semara/ Hobart / Any: Response
