Ensign Marcus Forza: The Captain

Forza: We had a meeting sir? 

Shayne: We did indeed. Thank you for coming, Ensign…

Marcus heard the Captain trail off. He knew that amongst all of the Ensigns, Junior, and Senior officers, it must've been difficult to keep track of all of them.

Shayne: …Forza! Forgive me, Mr. Forza- I could memorize eighty faces and names, no sweat. Four hundred plus is proving to be a difficult undertaking. 

Marcus noticed the Captain seemed to be deep in his thoughts. Of course a Captain would have a lot to think about.

Forza: I'm sure sir. ::chuckling:: I can barely remember the names of just a few people. 

Shayne: I also feel an apology is in order; you were ready to perform your duty on the bridge, and I stopped you less than kindly. Time was a factor, true- but those circumstances were extraordinarily unusual; I appreciate a tactical officer who is quick on the alert. 

Forza: Honestly sir I barely noticed. I understand that situations can be stressful and then you have some new guy come in and almost mess everything up. Last thing you need. So the apology is appreciated but unnecessary sir.

Shayne: Response.

Marcus knew that this was meant to be a formality but nonetheless als9 knew this could be one of the few times he could actually ask the Captain a question or two. 

Forza: Sir if may? It seems like this crew is going through a bit of a rough time? I was wondering if you uh, had any advice for how to get to know people better? I'm not all that great a socializing, and it seems whenever I try I make a fool outta myself. ::beat:: I know this may be out of line for me to ask, you being the CO and all, but I just… I don't know.

Marcus felt embarrassed, out of all the questions he could've asked the Captain, he asked for some personal help? Really? His eyes wandered over to the Captains desk, stacked with PADDs. The man was surely to busy for such a useless question.
