The orders were given, however abstract and obscure they were. That wasn't new to her, but it was a bit of a surprise to have it this way with such a high value goal. Still, as an Intel officer she knew that information was key and it often was hard to come by. Sometimes it cost a lot for just a little - either in time, money, or lives. The doctor and science officer got closer to the corner in which she had found herself not quite comfortable in.

Ohnari: Commander, I am admittedly out of my element...considering we can't diagnose our way to motive.

MacKenna: I suppose not, but I don't think the process is that much different.

Jacin: Response?

Ohnari: In whatever way I am most helpful, please shove me.

MacKenna: That would be the astrometrics lab I suppose. On the Khitomer of course.

She loved the astrometrics lab on a number of ships, but nothing quite got her like the one on the Excalibur. Able to turn off the gravity, she'd spent a great many days floating around and discovering things in her own time. But those were days when she wore the blue of science and not the darkness of those who moved with the shadows.

Jacin: Response?

The doctor and the Intel officer glanced at the woman's leg in that moment.

Ohnari: No worries there, it's mostly for everyone else's benefit. Regrowing tissue isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing for those outside the medical field. ::she herself found it endlessly fascinating, and had spent more than a few hours watching her leg literally regrow the damaged tissues and derma. Admittedly, she needed better hobbies.:: Providing we aren't expected to locate the Arrow via interpretive dance, it will not be an issue. ::smirking:: Although I am a master of Jazz hands.

With an impromptu demonstration, Ash could do little more than raise an eyebrow as the room around them began to clear out.

MacKenna: We should get moving too.

((Timeskip, Astrometrics, Deck 16, USS Khitomer))

The trio of officers made it to the Khitomer and the lab assigned without too much issue. Transporting aboard was easy enough given the emergency circumstances, and that had cut down on their travel time by quite a bit. The ship was pretty, and it looked newish, but her mind wasn't quite focused on that right then. The doctor on the other hand...

Ohnari: Wow...so um, nice of them to let us use this...spacious Astrometrics lab....

MacKenna: With the skeleton crew they have, they won't need it anyways. In fact, we have a number of labs we could probably use.

Jacin: Response?

Ash was thinking pragmatically, not in any sort of sense that was pitting ships against each other. Apparently that wasn't exactly how everyone was thinking though.

Ohnari: ::holding up both hands:: Not that the Arrow's astrometrics lab isn't....charming....

The redheaded intel officer couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her again. She liked the doctor, but sometimes it was quite difficult to understand her mental reactions to things. She wasn't the only one though. Ash often found herself interpreting things differently than the others, with the shortest distance between two points being a straight line, and her blunt approach without too much outward emotional involvement wasn't always the best method.

A new officer appeared in the doorway, and Ash had no idea who it was, but again the doctor surprised her.

Ohnari: Ensign Holtz! ::waving with her hands:: We're in here, please come join us. We are just about to get started.

Holtz: Response?

Joining them in the room, the new officer was welcomed in quick fashion. There was little time to do anything else.

Ohnari: ::smiling:: What a time to join a crew, right when the ship has somehow gone off without us...::wincing at the memory:: This is Commander MacKenna, she is our intel chief, and this is Chief Science Officer Lieutenant Jacin. Once things go back to...uh...well semi normal, she will be your direct supervisor.

MacKenna: ::nodding slightly.:: Welcome to the emergency ship transfer.

There was nothing but honesty in that, though some might have taken it as a joke perhaps.

Holtz/Jacin: Response?

Ohnari: Pick a seat, won't you? Oh, I'm Doctor Talia Ohnari, currently myself and Lieutenant Jacin are at the disposal of Commander MacKenna, ::snorting slightly:: And, well? I guess at the moment, you are too.

Holtz/Jacin: Response?

MacKenna: Well, we all better get on this. Doesn't matter who does what, we just need to find something helpful.

Which at this point, well, she wasn't sure what would be. The sensor logs were just coming through, but she doubted that they'd find a motive in any of that. Without the motive, how were they going to stop it? Such abstract things were hardly simple to set steps to success in.

Ohnari/Holtz/Jacin: Response?

MacKenna: Pulling up the information on the cleaners.

And around them, holographic screens came to life with information on each of the decontamination crew. Behind it all, Ash fed the sensor data into the bigger setup and the space around it all became a replay of the moment the Arrow left the area along with a number of potential paths it could be on. The potentials grew exponentially as time ticked by.

Ohnari/Holtz/Jacin: Responses?
