(( Sickbay, Deck 6, USS Khitomer ))
Kael walked purposely through the open sickbay doors flanked by Lieutenant Michaels. They had been given Tori’s location by the ship’s loquacious computer and he had sensed that something was wrong instantly.
It might explain have been the psionic traits handed down to him by his mother but the truth was he knew Tori. He knew what the mission meant to her and there would be no way she would spend anytime in sickbay, unable to contribute to the mission in any way but with advice and opinion, unless she had been forced to.
He saw her lying in the biobed, the picture of frustrated impatience.
Kael: Do you think now is time to be taking a nap?
Michaels/Ohnari/Tori: Response.
He went over to her and held her hand a smile on his face that showed the concern he was feeling. They had come so far both physically and emotionally. They had been scared by battle and death and now facing .. He didn’t know quite what they were facing, quite what the future held. He had no illusion that it was not hopeful. If they succeeded on their mission their future would no longer exist which meant likely that they would fade away.
Kael: So when were you going to tell me?
Michaels/Ohnari/Tori: Response.
He shook his head. He wasn’t angry. He wasn’t hurt but he wanted answers.
Kael: No Tori. Tell me. I deserve to know. What’s going on?
Michaels/Ohnari/Tori: Response.
