Karsyn had stepped away for a few moments and returned with his glass full of a green colored liquid, a drink known as an Aldebaran whiskey. He stood next to his new acquaintance Matthews and the rest of the group whom he had met mere moments ago. At least he had some company for his first social event with the Khitomer crew, that was a plus.
Zerva: Shall we take our food and get a table? Which side should we sit on? How does that work when you’re not in either department?
They should definitely grab a table, but he was indifferent to the side that the group sat on. He did not know the bride, groom, or anyone at the wedding. With that being said, he was up for whatever the group wanted to do, he had no loyalties. He simply shrugged his shoulders casually and looked for one of his crewmates to respond to Zerva's multiple questions.

Semara: Hi! Mind if I sit with y'all? Either side'll work...
He shifted his gaze to the woman addressing them. Of course she could sit with them, perhaps he wasn't the only new one. Either way, he would have to introduce himself to her. He extended his right hand offering Semara a proper handshake for starters.
Croix: Karsyn Croix, nice to meet you. And you are?
Matthews/ Zerva / Michaels / Carpenter / Any: Response
Semara: Amelia Semara, pleased to make your acquaintances. :: Looking to the podium, then a big sunny smile :: Looks like we'd best be takin' our seats.
His eyes shifted to the podium and then right back at Semara's. He wore a pair of chocolate colored dress pants with a matching belt and loafers. His short sleeve white button up was open at his neck and the sleeves were rolled up tight around his biceps. He provided her with an agreeable smile.
Croix: Agreed, it's about that time.
Matthews/ Zerva / Michaels / Carpenter / Any: Response
Karsyn followed the group to where they had ultimately decided to take a seat. His chair was second from the aisle and Semara plopped down to his left side. She was smiling at him for whatever reason, and he simply mirrored her smile to not make things awkward between them. He then looked to the ceremonial area and took a sip of his drink casually.
Shayne: Good evening, all. I am Captain Randal Shayne, of the Federation Starship Khitomer. It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to this most happy occasion. Connor and Ayemet have seen fit to honor me with the privilege of officiating today.
oOAh, so that's the Captain, noted.Oo
Shayne: I’ve had a number of officers tell me, with varying degrees of timidity, that I can ramble, so I will do my utmost to be brief, and succinct.
Shayne: What you witness today is the formalizing of a union; what you may not know is what stands on either side- past and future- of this moment . What started on a scrappy little starship on the edge of the unknown as a friendship and a genuine affection has blossomed into a connection, a bond, a relationship and a promise that shakes its fist at old cynics.Semara/Matthews: Response

Croix: Yeah, I'm due for the standard check up in Sickbay tomorrow to get things started. However, we should probably pay more attention to the ceremony now.
Karsyn's eyes shifted back to what was going on in front of them.
