((Medical Pavillion triage ~ Surgical Suite One))

Haliian physician Talia Ohnari was having a face off with the questionably dubious Varn. Well, face to...shoulder? Ferengi weren't exactly a towering species. She was being direct, and a little harsh. She didn't entirely trust this man, but she did trust Ayemet, and if she said he was legit? Well...she had no reason not to believe it...except when he opened his mouth she had the strongest desire to flick him in the forehead.

Varn: Hey! You’re not the only one to care about Ayemet!  :quieter almost pleading: Just that awful thing out of her okay?

Her expression softened, and she nodded in earnest. This plate and its blasted guidewire were coming out. At least, she prayed it would be successful.

Harford:
Response

Varn: You know you two are looking at this with the wrong attitude.

Hartford: Response

Ohnari: ::raising a brow:: How should we be looking at this...?

His smarmy smile made her skin crawl. But, again, she was being unfair. Just because she'd had a terrible experience with one sheisty fanged Ferengi, it wasn't the entire race...mentally she kicked herself for being so rude.

Varn: Think of it as a business deal? Is the profit worth the risk? What are the consequences if the deal turns sour? Seems to me that she :indicating towards the medical suite: wants it out.  The customer is always right.

Ohnari: ::snorting:: Well, that's one way of looking at it.

Varn: It isn’t going to be any easier an hour from now. Strike whilst the fire still burns.

Hartford: Response

Ohnari: No truer words dear Varn...alright team, let's do this!!

(((Timeskip ~ Recovery room))

((OOC ~ Happy to expand as a flashback scene next shoreleave, closing this out as we're wrapping up this one))

The procedure had been a dream. With the assistance of both Dr. Harford and her experience, as well as Varn's imaging system, the actual operation took less than five minutes. Vitals had been holding steady, she and Dr. Harford were able to remove the entire plate and guidewire, ensuring not a spec of Lattice Alliance tech was anywhere in Ayemet's skull. If only they could scrub out the memories of the trauma while they were in there...but that would be up to time, therapy, and the grace of the Gods.

Talia had administered a quick hypo to help Ayemet further metabolize the last of the anesthetic gas, soon, she'd be back to the waking world.

Ohnari: ::grinning, she held the implant and the wire up like a prized fish:: Yep, every single bit of it. Gone. You are officially free! ::raising an eyebrow:: Wanna toss it in the incinerator?

A. Dewitt/Harford/Varn: Response
