Chief medical officer Talia Ohnari was putting one foot in front of the other, and not thinking too hard about the fact that her son was in the next room, waiting. Now, Tori was the one with her focus. The drugs to combat the worst of the radiation sickness attempted to mitigate damage that was extensive and ongoing. Not too long after, Ras and Ensign Matthews had converted the consultation room into a mini-brainstorming station.

Ohnari: ::smiling kindly:: Tori I...am not sure who I am to you in your time, but you've got some significant and seemingly chronic damage from regular Sencha wave exposure. I am working on getting you not only stabilized, but hopefully in a better physical condition than you arrived...how is your pain? Any mental fuzziness that has you concerned?

With her being Betazoid, she was more susceptible to the ultra "fun" extras that the damn Sencha wave presented to those with telepathic leanings. It had been hell on Ayemet and Amelia, and by extension Nolen as well.

Tori: Response

It sounded...as best as it could given the circumstances of this woman.

Ohnari: Well, it seems you have some familiarity with Lieutenant El'Heem...uh, Ra-Ra I believe you called him...if you are feeling up to it, he and Ensign Matthews are going to come in, they had some questions and wanted to get your input since you have the insider scoop. ::reaching over and squeezing the woman's hand:: This is probably...really weird for you too. You know us, but we haven't really met you yet....

The unspoken implication that they may not meet at all if this time-trip was successful. It really wasn't necessary to put it into words. Both women could feel it. Still, having just met, she felt a kinship with this woman. Which frankly, scared the hell out of her.

Ohnari: Alright...well I am going to send in Ensign Matthews and Ras...if you need me for anything, just press that button on the left, I'll get buzzed.

Tori: Response

Stepping into the hall, a thought permeated the fog of strangeness. Stepping into the doorway of the closet, she didn't bother to enter. There was barely enough room for what was there already.

Ohnari: Ensign Matthews, Tori is stable for now, go on in, Ras? A moment please?

Matthews/El'Heem: Response

Nodding as Ensign Matthews passed, she waited until the door to the iso room was closed.

Ohnari: ::inhaling deeply, bending over slightly, on finger aloft:: One Sec...::working through a minor hyperventilation, she nodded once and then stood:: I am fully aware my ability to be completely objective is just basically shot to shit. Well aware. ::pausing:: I...what I mean is...::her wide grey eyes reflected the tears she stubbornly refused to let slip:: I am authorizing you to check me. Professionally. I realize I am asking a lot. You have your own department and orders...but you can be objective. And you've worked with me long enough....I just need you to be my objectivity gauge....please?

El'Heem: Response

Ohnari: I want to prevent the catastrophic loss of life...just as badly as everyone else. I don't want anyone thinking a call I made was for a selfish purpose that would be at the cost of the greater good. Easy for me to say, right now, standing in this hallway.

El'Heem: Response

To tell the truth, Talia was well intune with her emotions, and heavily perceptive to those around her given her heritage. So, it was fair to say she already had a flare for dramatic and emotional outbursts, but right here? She felt she earned this one. She launched herself and clutched the poor Kressari tightly.

Ohnari: ::muffled:: Thank you. ::releasing him and shaking herself:: Ok, now you go and get all the info from Tori that you can so we can prevent all out war without the mass genocide part, and I'll....send Othin to Amelia for a bone marrow sample. ::rubbing her forehead:: And...have her take one from me, for Kael...my son...in the next room. Waiting.

It was back to the hyperventilating before she got a better handle on herself. Seeing how ravaged Tori's body was....the age of her bones and joints not matching her chronological age, stood to reason, Kael would be in a similar position...

After Ras slipped into the room, Talia had her hand on the handle of the next room, until she recoiled like it burned her. Seemed she wasn't quite ready to go in there. Walking out of the hallway, her bones felt like jelly. Luckily, her gait wasn't affected.

Ohnari: Othin, I need you to go to the shuttlebay that Lieutenant Semara is in, ask her if she would be willing to provide a bone marrow sample. And make sure you bring the numbing hypo for before you get the sample. Don't think Crewman Willaby will ever forget last time....

Othin: ::rolling her eyes:: Crewman Willaby is a letch and he made the mistake of touching my butt without permission. I do not see this being an issue with the Lieutenant.

Well she had her there. Seemed she would be having a much different conversation with Crewman Willaby. Seemed he left out an extremely important detail. He claimed to only have complimented her hair, not copped a feel. What a jerk.

With nothing else to do, Talia hopped in place and practiced some deep breathing. It was time.

The door swung open, and upon the exam bed....

Ohnari: Um...hi Kael.

Kael: Response
