oO Right. Changing the subject now! Oo

Charles: So… Roberto’s Robotic Curios? If his friends call him Bob, do you ever think “Bobby’s Bobotic Curios” was an option?

oO I have whimsy too! Oo

Ohnari: ::snorting:: We can ask. C'mon, I think it has to be that way!

With Talia wrapping her arm around Charles’ better one, he followed the Haliian woman as she dragged him down some sort of alley; a mercurial and, for lack of a better term, whimsical one that almost had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory vibe to it. There seemed a cascade of colour everywhere he cast his brown-eyed gaze, and there was fantastical music coming from a place not known. If he didn’t know better, the woman, an actual Starfleet Officer and a CMO of a starship at that, seemed almost giddy with excitement. There was a child-like quality to her, similar to when a toddler steals the last piece of chocolate cake, or when an annoying sibling got the last word and just had to rub it in. Either way, a bemused look crossed Charlie’s face as he continued next to her.

Ohnari: ::awed:: By the Gods....It's...it's just so beautiful...

Charles: Yeah… it’s great(!)

Ohnari: ::practically dragging the man:: C'mon Charlie!! We're gonna find so many cool things! And despite your shockingly pretty former flame's lack of whimsy, I am sure we can find some functional thing that will make her nerdy little heart sing. ::yanking the poor man down an aisle:: Ooh!! Look! A little refashioned exco-comp!! It says it folds laundry...does Alix need perfectly folded clothes...?

Charles scoffed.

Charles: You’ve actually met Alix, right? You know full well she’ll have the most intricate, long-winded and painstakingly dull way to make sure her uniform has a crisp edge just where it needs to.

Ohnari: That seems...complicated. ::she held up what was advertised as back scratcher, it looked more like an old time torture device:: Yeesh..no thanks, Ooh!! ::another yank:: Shiny...

With Talia bounding from each random piece of tech to the next, Matthews jolted as she pulled him towards yet another doodad.

Charles: ::mutters:: God, Doc. ::steadying himself:: By the power of Grayskull…

Finally, the woman let Charlie go, randomly pressing at every available button that was within reach of her slender hands until she suddenly clapped in ecstatic rapture. He shot a look to who he assumed was Robert, who had a look on his face that said “if she breaks my curio’s, she buys my curio’s” and the Tactical Officer was about to warn his companion but was yet again distracted by her yanking him towards some other thing, this time by grabbing a handful of his shirt.

Ohnari: ::quietly:: Look..it's perfect.

Charles furrowed his brow as he came to an abrupt stop for the umpteenth time, trying to figure out what exactly was perfect.

Ohnari: Ok, even with a decided lack of whimsy, that is adorable. Not to mention romantic as hell...::eyeing the tactical officer:: Are you sure you plan on leaving the past be the past....?

Charles: ::shakes his head:: What am I looking at exactly, Doctor?

Ohnari: Response

Charles: An “Eternal Rose”? Talia…

oO You know this is serious when you first-name a person! Oo

Matthews looked down at the blooming bit of tech, before looking back at the Doctor and shaking his head again, this time with the addition of a deep sigh being released.

Charles: I don’t know how or why Alix has ended up on the Khitomer but when I left the Astraeus it was… I don’t know… left there too.

Ohnari: Response

Charles: We spoke, briefly. She had to release my medical records to you. That’s how she found out I was leaving.

Ohnari: Response
