Tori's insides still felt a little raw from the seismic emotional upheaval.  Then again, the serum brewed from her mother's marrow by the fairy witch Doctor Talia coursing through her could have been equally to blame.  It wasn't an end to her problems.  Nothing incubated for so long could be.  But it had been given voice, and she had allies, friends, family, and most of all Kael to face them with.

There was still one bridge left to be mended before whatever happened happened.

Tori's hand squeezed a little hard on Kael's.

Tori: I was just thinking... It's been a long time since we've all been together.  :: A heavy breath. :: The captain's put us up in the VIP quarters, and I guess... I was hoping... We might all have dinner tonight.  If that's alright.

It was strange that proposing the idea made her nervous.  All the Dewitts, Ohnaris, and Semaras in one place at one time...  All the people that mattered most to her...  Maybe it was because it was the kind of family reunion she'd wanted for so long.  With a war on, splintering them in a dozen different directions, it had been almost impossible to have all those people in the same room after she entered her teens.

Tori's smile blossomed as Talia's furnace of emotion washed over her, warming her almost as much as Kael's closeness.

Kael: How about it Mom? Get to know your daughter in law to be?

Ohnari: ::her smile was a touch watery:: I think that would be lovely....Maybe we should invite the Admiral, and I will try really hard not to call her "Ensign"...

Tori's eyebrows shot up.  Weird to her the Admiral called anything other than the Admiral.  Then again it was all weird.  Then she shot Kael a look.  It might be interesting to see the Admiral unwind for a change.

Kael: Why not?

Tori: Absolutely.  As long as you're okay with taking time away from your other commitments... :: A grin to Kael. ::

Kael: It’s all for you. Every action, every thought : leaning in and kissing her gently: every kiss.

Tori beamed, letting herself lean against his solid frame.  She adored how deliciously saccharine Kael could be.  He was a dessert she'd never tire of.

Ohnari:: ::loudly:: LA LA LA LA!! Keep your hands ABOVE the sheet until I leave. ::sticking out her tongue:: See you at dinner!

Tori chuckled, her eyes flicking to the door only long enough to watch Talia leave the two of them alone.

Tori: This treatment better not be much longer.  I believe you've made several promises about how we're spending our time I intend to hold you to.

If Kael was sugar, then Tori was spice.  She locked her dark eyes on him with a low, fluttering grin.  An unshy touch mingled with vague telepathic suggestions tickling in the air whispering at the back of his mind with proposals of her precise intentions with their newfound privacy...
