((Jorogumo's Technological Bay))
Rana: If you find anything, keep me updated. If he speaks in a way that makes sense, see if you can ::click of disgust:: reason with him.
With vindictive glee, Richard stared straight ahead as the captain of the ship he was held captive on made their exit.
Matthews: :: Almost in a singsong voice :: MG - 554 - 614.
He went ignored.
That was their third mistake. Their second mistake was underestimating him. Their first? Bringing him aboard.
((Brief Timeskip, Jorogumo's Technological Bay))
He didn’t have much of a concept of time at the best of times. In situations like this? You could tell Richard five days had passed and he would have just nodded and said ‘of course, explains why I’m so hungry.’ and went on about things unbothered, save for that he was now a little more aware of his hunger. Which, even if he hadn’t actually been starving for five days, could still be called gluttonous.
In any case, Richard was unsure if minutes or hours had passed since his waking up and making new friends. There had been enough time to fire off a quick SOS. Listen in on some conversations and learn some interesting tidbits about his captors, that he now referred to as the ‘Amazonians’ in his head.
Vidya: After studying the symbols in the technological that were given to us by the male, I have concluded the following. The ‘bonded’ male that we saw on the bridge of their vessel's head, who spoke out of order was given a name. While males among the Velithari are never permitted a name, except when gifted by the Priestess, it is entirely possible their unbonded males have a designation. This one is MG - 554 - 614. The MG must stand for the batch and the numeric symbols of its order of birth and its function.
Assistant: A designation? Is this how they catalog one male from another?
They were getting close, but were still so far off. Richard fought the urge to frown and give away the game. It was just, he couldn’t help but wonder, had it been this bad on earth before humanity had kicked itself in the butt and gotten better about things? Thinking back to history class - when he wasn’t sleeping through it - had there not been a woman’s suffrage movement. How different would things be now?
Vidya: It is. It is most efficient is it not MG - 554 - 614?
Matthews: MG - 554 - 614.
Oh dear, they were talking directly to him again. Not a good sign as far as Richard was concerned. And sadly there wasn’t much else he could do right now. He set the broadcast of his SOS to automatic. Hoped that whoever caught it also found the link he’d setup for them to follow back to the enemy ship’s systems. It wasn’t much. He hadn’t plugged in to anything. They wouldn’t be able to, say, get visuals on the inside or anything. Maybe if his helmet was still operating? Someone could get visuals and maybe audio in that room.
But they should be able to at least use it to track the ship. There wouldn’t be any hiding in or behind the damnable nebula. If it was in his power. He’d do something to cause the stupid thing to self-destruct. Which, if it was a tool for the Amazonians, maybe he could do that from there if he got away.
Assistant: Why does it repeat its designation?
oO Because I really like Mog World. Oo
Vidya: Much like our males, this one must not be permitted to speak unless given permission to speak by its Captain. It would seem only their ‘bonded’ males may speak.
oO God, everyone wishes that were the case. Oo
Assistant: But how will we know if their males are bonded?
Vidya: Do you see the blue color upon its uniform? One of the females we spoke to had this color and the other black. The bonded male had red. I suspect this unbonded male serves under its Captain as its servant, as they are both wearing blue and the bonded male is given red color indicating its bonded status.
Assistant: It would explain why the unbonded male was sent into the vacuum of space instead of a bonded one.
oO And your seeing someone as expendable like that based on the circumstances of their birth is sad. I feel sad for you. Oo
Richard shot the two a pitying look. Though they weren’t paying him any attention. Talking amongst themselves as they were. Somehow he didn’t think exploration and first contact were the Amazon’s main goal.
Vidya: Indeed. ::to her assistant:: This area has been cleansed?
Assistant: ::bowing:: Yes technological lead. It has been prepared. No contamination has been found here in the technological bay.
Vidya: Then we shall begin decontamination and biological study of the male and then continue our attempts to ‘reason’ with it.
Richard bit back a smirk. The last person that had tried to ‘reason’ with him, had run out of that room screaming for the guards to take him away. Which, now that Richard thought about it, being dragged away to a dungeon or brig was usually how these sorts of things went. Strange that.
The one that Richard knew was Vidya made a move. He watched out of the side of his eyes, having gone back to staring straight ahead. He wasn’t quite sure what happened. But the end results were less than appealing. Webbing of some sort closed in around him, constricting tightly, holding him in place with some sticky substance.
Glancing down he shrugged as best he could.
Matthews: Yeah, no, I’m not really into BDSM and do not consent.
When the sticky substance started to dissolve his uniform. That got a little more of a reaction from him. Going very still and holding his breath. Waiting for the feel of maybe something burning his flesh. Only it never came. Just an uncomfortable cold sticky paste.
Somehow that was worse. Eww.
And now he was almost naked.
Great.
Vidya: Do not struggle. The medical scans are about to begin.
Richard glanced up at the thing sliding down from the ceiling. Eyebrows shooting up as more tentacles, of all things, slithered out and around him.
It was like something out of one of those bad holonovels. That no one could prove he had a collection of, thank you very much.
There were some conflicting emotions to be had right now.
Matthews: At least buy me dinner first. A little wining and dining before you have your way with me, yeah?
Vidya / Assistant: Response
Matthews: Oh don’t be so surprised. You did understand what I was saying, the translator was making the letters and numbers make sense to you all. Not my fault you didn’t clue in to it meaning something.
Vidya / Assistant: Response
Matthews: Just a number I give instead of answering my captive’s questions. Though, considering what you have me doing right now, maybe I should give you my safe word? :: He winked :: Who am I kidding, I don’t need one of those.
Vidya / Assistant: Response
Matthews: :: Giving his unusual bindings a little tug :: Odd medical contraption though. Is it a sex thing? Are you guys like, man hating amazons who have kinky toys to make up for the lack of a man’s touch? I mean I get it. Every now and again I get tired of men too. Break out the toys. Then you wonder why you need a man anyway, am I right?
Vidya / Assistant: Response
Richard snickered to himself. Sometimes it paid off to be an oddball. Kept everyone else guessing and off kilter. After all, the medical contraption had stopped. He was still standing there in his boots and black boxer briefs. Wrapped up in tentacles, again of all things, and covered in a cold slimy substance that had taken out his clothes.
But he had been annoying and bamboosaling people, and was still getting away with it, so frankly. He was thriving.
Matthews: :: Glancing up at the machine :: Don’t think I want anything this advanced though. I feel if it needs a power source that can also power a ship. Maybe that is not for me. I’m old school I guess. But you do you.
Vidya / Assistant: Response
Matthews: So, since I don’t consent to the invasive and oddly phallic medical procedures. What do you say about switching that off and getting me some cloths, it’s cold in here.
Vidya / Assistant: Response
