Lt. Cmdr Nathan Richards - Little Guy on the Loose

Nathan was all for weird. Most of the time.
Richards: Alright. Let’s get weird.
He held out his arm so that she could look over the entire thing. When she got down to the access hatch in his forearm, he thought about warning her of what might happen, but decided against it. It might be funnier that way.
Ohnari: You said there was an issue with the access hatch?
Richards: It’s like the release mechanism is stuck or something.
She scooted closer, and began to poke around the access hatch with her tools. Nathan pursed his lips, trying to keep quiet.
Ohnari: Huh. Well lets see what we can do…what is the hatch for? Is the main circuitry housed there…?
There was a click from the latch as she somehow figured out how to release it, and Nathan braced himself. The hatch flew open, and a small golden ball launched out towards her.
Richards: Incoming!
Ohnari: ::unintelligible squealing:: Wha-EEP!
The small golden ball landed on the biobed and rolled to a stop before it spread its little legs and began to crawl around.
Richards: There you are! Free at last! ::chuckling, looking at Talia:: Sorry, Doc. I’d like you to meet my ARMadillo.
The little golden ARMadillo turned and looked at Talia as well, its small screen-face displaying a series of basic emoticons before finally settling on what it was feeling in that moment.
ARMadillo: :D
Ohnari: That. Is. AWESOME!
Nathan let out a small sigh of relief. He had been worried that when the ARMadillo came flying out she would have been more angry.
Richards: Sure is. ::Chuckling:: Been trapped in there for a while, huh bud?
The little golden robot spun in a circle, taking in the sickbay before looking up at Nathan. The small screen cycled for a second before settling once more.
ARMadillo: :(
Ohnari: ::bouncing in excitement:: Does he do tricks?? Can I touch him? Her? It?
Nathan laughed, tilting his head and looking at the little robot. It in turn looked up at him with a simple character on its little face.
ARMadillo: ?
Richards: Don’t look at me. It’s up to you.
The little ARMadillo danced around a bit before looking towards Talia.
ARMadillo: ! ::quick cycle:: :D
Nathan watched as Talia carefully picked up the little robot and gave it a once-over.
Ohnari: Nice to meet you, ARMadillo…Gods above this thing is cool…How long has it been stuck in your arm??
Tilting his head again, Nathan gave that some thought.
Richards: It’s probably been about four weeks. I was helping the maintenance crew on the QSD transport with some stuff and I think I might have just jammed it.
The little ARMadillo danced around in Talia’s hand, kicking out all for legs before rolling back into a ball. It poked its little face out to show its displeasure with being stuck for so long.
ARMadillo: D:<
Ohnari: Response
Richards: But, that’s not the only reason we are here. As I’m sure you have deduced, the modifications that have been made to my arm haven’t exactly been up to medical standards. I was hoping you would be able to bring it back in line and maybe suggest some upgrades?
The little robot leapt from Talia’s hand, spreading all four of its little legs dramatically before rolling back into a ball to cushion the landing. It sprung back out and began to crawl around once again.
Ohanri: Response
Richards: It’s a curious little thing. He likes to wander. It shouldn’t be a problem. Right?
As Nathan turned to look at the little robot, it leapt off of the table and rolled across the ground towards and out the door.
Richards: Uh…It’ll be back.
Ohnari: Response
