((Deck 9, Life Sciences Lab, USS Khitomer))
At some point in her quiet reflection (read: cowardly hiding) Ras had arrived. And despite being non-empathic, he certainly read the room, and ignored her entirely.
She knew he was her favorite Kressari for a reason.
However, the peace was then broken with the entrance of Ensign Matthews.
El'Heem: Shhh…She’s hiding.
An annoyed narrow eyed stare towards the formerly favorite Kressari, she turned back to the new arrival.
Ohnari: I'm not hiding, I'm...::blowing out a breath:: Yeah, I'm hiding.
Matthews: :: Staring down at the officer on the floor :: Not. . . Not well. Remind me to introduce you to Graves. :: He glanced around the room :: Who could be here and we’d never know. Anyway, why are you hiding?
El'Heem: ::lazily:: Temporal woes and what not.
Now the Kressari was the favorite again. Not that he never was, but not that she would admit.
Ohnari: Well? Lets see....I have a son, who's kind of a jerk and I don't know if that is my fault, Connor's, or growing up in a warzone...and now everyone looks at me like I am going to personally torpedo the entire ship in order to protect a kid that won't even possibly conceived until like, what? Twelve? Fifteen years from now? So I'm doing amazing. Obviously.
And just like that, least favorite.
Matthews: Connor’s a pushover, the attitude is all you, which is good. I happen to really like your personality. The kid will go far.
El'Heem: He’s definitely got attitude, Miss Ohnari. We’ll have to nip that in the bud. Add it to the list of things we’ve been warned about with time travel.
Groaning, she shook her head in dejected...ness. But did she appreciate Matthews and his faith in her son.
Matthews: Since when have we had a pet octopus? They’re not registered for any study, are they the ship’s pet or does someone own them like Lady?
El’Heem: They’re a rescue.
Ohnari: ::brightening:: She's brilliant, isn't she?? You should see her juggling act.
Matthews: :: Nodding :: Cool, cool. I’ll have to remember to look up octopus treats. :: Turning to the others :: Anyway, I’m here cause I have orders. :: Pointing to Ohnari :: And you’re here to hide. :: He moved to point at Ras :: And you’re totally here cause we’ve been having a great day working together, and you just don’t want the good times to end. I get it.
Ohnari: ::snorted:: We'll just assume I am ::her hands raised in an air quote:: "Supervising."
Matthews: So my question is, who wants to avert a war and our possible deaths, and can we do it in the next three hours? Sounds doable, right?
Ohnari: Three hours? Why didn't you say so?
The sarcasm was evident.
El’Heem: ::leaning forward and offering PADD to Richard:: Alright, time lord. What do those results in your hand say?
Matthews: Response
The Haliian snorted. She had stumbled upon an ancient Terran show called "Doctor Who", it was only mildly offensive to actual aliens, but it was entertaining. She was particularly a fan of the 10th version and his distractingly floppy hair.
Ohnari: Run? It says run doesn't it?
El’Heem: No, it says “Causality does not allow ripples in the timeline this large.”
Matthews: Response
A lot of terms she had heard but not completely understood were being exchanged, and she'd never been happier just to be "Supervising"
El’Heem: Obviously I don’t want that. Sooooo ::handing new PADD to Ohnari:: I’ve stopped looking for specific solutions and have instead identified the parameters that needed to be met in order for the models to only say “Inconclusive” instead of “Catastrophic desynchronization.”
Talia reluctantly accepted the PADD, guessing it was time for hands on.
Ohnari: That would be preferable. I know you two understand the complexities of temporal fluctuations more than I...but now that we know what's coming, don't we have options besides war crimes?
oO Please say yes. Oo
Matthews: Response
El’Heem: First and most importantly: whatever we do to prevent the bad timeline, we must account for the Admiral, Tori, and ::looking at Talia:: Kael.
The wince was involuntary. The main reason she was hiding was to keep herself from running to the guest quarters and asking Kael what his first word was and if he started walking on a spaceship or not.
Ohnari: Yeah...my future time baby...with Connor. ::mumbling to herself forlornly:: Ayemet is never going to speak to me again...::shaking that off:: Ok, so we know that three people from the future managed to slip back through the Hobart Hole in a previously-thought-to-be-destroyed runabout. Now, the elder Ginny is suggesting a light day of genocide. ::shuddering:: That woman terrifies me, if I am completely honest....although I am equally in love with her and follow her to the gates of hell at the same time...::rubbing her temples in agitation:: It's been a really weird day.
El'Heem/Matthews: Response
Ohnari: We have...what? A week? What if we just...emptied it. Loop in Starfleet Command, because how else will we get them to allow us to relocate an entire prison colony...but then, when they go to ambush, they're hitting an empty area.
El'Heem/Matthews: Response
It was then a most unexpected thing, in a day of unexpected things: a Security officer and an unconscious form materialized directly in front of Baba Yaga's tank. Her body moved before her brain caught up, all previous concerns discarded, tricorder aloft and scanning.
Ohnari: Give me the report.
Security Officer: The woman lost consciousness and the elder of the trio located you, I escorted per emergency transport protocol.
Ohnari: To...the life sciences lab?? ::shaking her hand dismissing the need for answer:: Alright step back, Lieutenant El'Heem, Ensign Matthews, clear that table and help me get her relocated.
El'Heem/Matthews: Response
Truth be told, Matthews and Ras were doing most of the...well lifting, Talia's eyes were glued to the Tricoder. It was...bleak.
Ohnari: Aplastic anemia...probably the cause of her losing consciousness. Ras, replicate me four units of Epoetin alfa and one unit whole hemoglobin infusion. Your credentials were never removed from medical, thought to be best in case of emergency. Tori? Can you hear me?
El'Heem/Matthews/Tori: Response
The readings were off the charts, how long had it been since the trio said they lost contact with the federation...?
Ohnari: Also get me two units Hyronalin, Ensign Matthews, get me the emergency medical kit, third cabinet on the left. Unless Ras moved it. Tori? It's me..Talia...oO Maybe she doesn't know me? Oo hang on, we're going to get you stable.
El'Heem/Matthews/Tori: Response
