(( Clanhouse, Deck 10, USS Juneau ))

Sival twirled an olive around in his empty martini glass with a stirring stick. He listened to the newly-minted Junior Lieutenant.

Falt: That would be one way to put it. ::pointing to the bar:: I’m going to grab another drink, care to join me? We can swap shore leave stories?

Sival: Certainly.

They made their way to the bar. Sival decided to order something non-alcoholic, an orange juice, since he had already drunk a little more than he should have.

Falt: Response

Sival was fascinated to hear his account of what had happened. Events like these are part of what being in Starfleet is all about.

Sival: Interesting! My sister is an anthropologist, and were she human, she would be jealous. So, looking ahead, what does the future hold for them?

Falt: Response

Sival caught himself nervously scratching his arm, a reflex response to the question. By now, he had figured out a way to answer honestly without bringing up any of the details of that disturbing episode.

Sival: I spent the time exploring Deep Space Nine. It is a fascinating melting pot of cultures, and the view of the wormhole is amazing.

It truly was an amazing sight. Sival spent the better part of an hour gazing out one of the Promenade’s windows as the wormhole would open and close.

Falt: Response

Sival heard a scuffle from the corner of the room. He looked over. It was T’Lea, sweater and bottle in hand, attempting to walk and keep her balance.

Sival: If you would excuse me, Ensign. There appears to be a matter that requires my attention. Congratulations once again!

Falt: Response
