Lieutenant Commander Kalia Qinn - A Friend in Need

(OOC1: This should get my group started and moving, let the creativity begin.  I’ve given general areas for damage and casualties, but toss in a twist or other issue we need to help if you want too.)

Kalia didn’t like the sound of what the Hopper’s captain had relayed.  It took a brave set of pirates to attack a Federation ship, even a Science vessel like the Grace Hopper.  The tone of the bridge had gone from relaxed to tense in a matter of moments.  For the Hopper to send out a mayday meant that they’d taken more of a beating than even they’d expected from a source that small.

As the captain was finishing with Captain Melchor, Kalia was already putting together a team to assist with casualties and getting the repairs under control.  They also needed more information on what was stolen.  Was it targeted and what did it do?

Qinn: =/\=Qinn to Lieutenant Falt.  With assistance from Engineering, please access the logs from the Grace Hopper, and any data from the ring, and figure out what the thieves took and what it does.=/\=

Closing the line she opened a new one to gather her own team.

Qinn: =/\=Qinn to Doctor Indobri, and Ensigns Sera and R’Kala.  Please report to Transporter room 1 in ten minutes.  We’ll be beaming over to the Hopper to assist with casualties and repairs, bring anything you think you’ll need but we can beam over more supplies, if necessary.=/\=

With a quick nod at the Captain, Kalia headed out to meet her team and get to the Hopper and give them some relief.

The Quartet beamed into the main affected area, the lab where the artifact was being held.  Qinn turned to face her group, hefting her own tool kit over her shoulder.  It had been a while since she’d needed to get it out of the supply locker.  She wished it had been under better circumstances, but it was good to have it out regardless.

Qinn: The attackers hit the main science lab here.  They took whatever they took and they were willing to do violence to get it.  The Hopper took damage to main deflector control and that has caused issues elsewhere, and it’s not necessarily getting better.  We have casualties there, and here where the boarders hit the lab.  The Hopper’s crew is stretched pretty thin, let’s give them a hand.  Questions?
