Moving in and getting used to things hadn’t allowed him much time to explore much more than the general areas where the main buildings were located. But he’d settled himself now, as much as anyone could on the station currently, and he felt now was as good a time as any to do some snooping about in the thus far acknowledged “neighborhoods.” Besides, it would likely help the infrastructure development to have a better understanding of what they’d all be working with as things moved forward.
It was obviously no longer in use, that was a given. Still, he found himself impressed at the way things had managed to stay so stable after presumably many years, possibly centuries or more, with otherwise no clear upkeep until now. Whoever these people had been, they knew how to keep things together on a very basic level.

Dekas looked between the people he invited along with him. (He wasn’t so curious as to risk doing things alone in a place he knew very little about.)
Dekas: Which one should we explore first?
There weren’t all that many buildings in the area, and they weren’t very big, at least not as big as Anchorage, Soldotna, and Fairbanks. Just big enough to be shops, with areas that could be good for other leisure activities. But he was curious if there was anything still in them, leftover from previous lives on Ring 42, or if it’d been cleared out. And if there was anything at all, whether it was items or markings, he wondered if it would say anything about the people who kept this place before.

If you wanna explore the Market Ghost Town with Dekas, then he most certainly was willing to tell people to come along as well, because he was probably not exactly keeping his interest about taking a look hush-hush.)
