OOC: The saga of my computer continues. Hubby set me up on his work comp. Have time for this one and will hopefully be able to respond to anything else later today/this evening. Sorry for all the trouble. :(
((Corridor, USS Yuan Tseh Lee, sometime in 2373))
Ellis: I thought you might want to take a look at this.
::She called up display, showing what almost looked like tiny spiders with flat legs.::
Ellis: They’re mutating.
Washington: What are they?
Ellis: That’s a good question.
Washington: I don't understand…
Ellis: They’re tiny arachnids and spin webs inside of people.
::The expression upon his face was one of confusion and he put a bit of distance between them.::
Washington: This isn't how it was. This isn't right. What's going on?
::Ellis continued, unperturbed by Washington’s reaction.::
Ellis: The webs constrict around the organs and cause them to stop functioning.
Washington: You're not Claire…
::A single eyebrow shot up and the woman canted her head to the side as she regarded him.::
DeVeau: They’ll eat us from the inside.
DeVeau: What do you think? They all will, if we let them. We can’t let them.
::Her voice lowered, those green eyes darkening with determination as she held the captain’s gaze.::
DeVeau: We’ve got to fight.
