::The bridge was quiet save for the beeping of the consoles as officers tapped in instructions.  But a moment earlier, Washington had given a course heading and speed and his crew had complied quickly and readily.  Before anyone else could interrupt the vocal silence, the computer chirped as a commlink was established.::

Ellis: =^=Ellis to Captain Washington. =^=

Washington?  

Ellis:  =^=I’ve gotten some results on this new biogenic weapon the Dominion has developed.  I thought you might want to come take a look. =^=

Washington?

::Ellis was bent over one of the ship’s consoles.  She straightened up as the Captain approached and turned, a nod offered in greeting.  Somehow she had changed.  Her hair had lengthened and taken on natural highlights, her face was rounded, younger, and her eyes a brilliant green gazed up at him.::

Ellis: I thought you might want to take a look at this.

Washington?

::A brief beeping from the her fingers tapping at the console was followed by the screen coming to life with tiny, moving objects.  Save for the fact they were almost flat, they seemed to contain a central body with eight undulating appendages, like microscopic, eyeless spiders.::

Ellis: They’re mutating.
