(( H’thamtuhko Bathhouse, Upper vIq’mItlth City ))
The search for Ruktah and J’nara, the missing heirs at the colony, led them to the H’thamtuhko Bathhouse. This elaborate sauna for warriors to ease their muscles held little clues leading to their heirs. With the chip coordinates led into a Qln’HuD mining colony, this led to more questions.
Basso: It appears that the mining colony for J’nara’s transporter relay isn’t for the Qup’Dev but for QIn’HuD. Why would it be for her family’s opposing house?
Pace: Isn’t QIn’HuD Ruktah’s house?
Gnaxac: I think you’re r-r-r-right.
Pace: But… why his over hers? If they didn’t want to be found, wouldn’t you think as far away as possible would be best?
Leaning against the wall, Basso tried to follow the mental strings. Why would J’nara’s destination be for the opposing family’s mine? Did the two lovers plan that for a rendezvous or did someone tamper with her necklace?
Gnaxac: Unless you’re thinking of hiding in p-p-p-plain sight?
Finch: That’s my thinking as well, Mister Gnaxac.
Basso: For Ruktah it would be easy, but J’nara would stick out like a sore thumb.
Pace: Does the colony have a busy spaceport? Despite being QIn’HuD territory, it might still be the best place to “disappear”?
If the two love birds left the colony at the spaceport, how far could they have traveled?
Gnaxac: Seems t-t-to. And if they m-m-made it there, they c-c-could be literally anywhere.
Basso: And potentially outside Klingon or Starfleet territory.
Pace: Response
Gnaxac: B-b-by the Exchequer… however would we f-f-find them if they g-g-got on a ship?
Though if J’nara’s necklace remained here, did the two escape together? Or could one of them be intercepted.
Finch: With the Orbital Docks and all those security measures in place, not to mention who they are, I can't imagine getting off this planet is quite as easy a task as it is for your average run-of-the-mill Klingon.
Basso: This still implies that Ruktah and J’nara are still together. We don’t even know if the two are still with each other or not.
Pace: Response
The silence of each contemplating their next step would be interrupted from the cacophony of Klingon insults, arguing, and fighting. Following Finch’s lead, Basso peaked into the changing room.
Finch: Coming from the main entrance, that is. ::She nodded to the others, eyes twinkling.:: Believe we've gathered all we can from here.
Basso: Yes, sir.
Pace / Gnaxac: Response
With hurry, the team swerved through the corridors towards the main entrance to see the bathhouse faculty accosting one another. With the ferocity they were yelling at, Basso doubted this was over a stolen lunch.
Finch: Mev'yap¹! ::She shouted, eyes reaching that of the tallest Klingon.:: You there, what's going on?
Ukrar: This rat! Found sniffing around in rooms he has no right to be in. ::He growled, turning as the other man darted for the entrance doors.:: Argh! Do not run away, coward!
Basso: He might be who we are looking for.
Pace / Gnaxac: Response
The team headed into the pounding, cold rain outside to search for their suspect. Laika reached for her tricorder to see Finch already mapping out the area.
Finch: He's heading for a one way turn. Gnaxac, Pace, you take the right street over there and try to block his exit. Basso and I will stay on his tail and do the same. Use the comms!
Basso: Aye, sir.
Pace / Gnaxac: Response
Seeing the other two try to circumvent their suspect, Basso chased down the man. Unless orders were given, Laika kept her hand away from her phaser. There was a high likelihood their suspect held a weapon on his person. While she was certain four Starfleet officers could take this man down, there was still a risk. Always a risk.
Basso: Under the authority of the veHrom’nagh government, halt!
She didn’t expect the man would come to a stop with that order if he was engaged with criminal activity; however, hopefully now he knew they had some level of jurisdiction.
Gnaxac / Pace / Finch: Response
As Finch and Basso chased down the suspect, her foot caught onto a bin tipped over during the pursuit. Instinctively, she brought her arms to cover her face while ducking into a roll. Without concern, Laika hopped back to her feet to continue her chase.
Basso: I’m alright!
Gnaxac / Pace / Finch: Response
