((H'thamtuhko Bathhouse, Upper vIq'mItlh City))

After chasing one of the bathhouse workers through the hammering rainy streets of Upper vIq'mItlh City, they had turned a corner and boom! Found themselves face to face with Gnaxac and a squeaking Vesela. It had only been a minute, barely a few moments really, when the tension and confusion was replaced by adrenaline and slight panic, as phaser bolts soared by the collective team.

Finch: Don’t be so ridiculous. ::She shouted, scolding the man.:: Drop your weapon!

Gnaxac: ::shakily:: There’s m-m-more of us than there are of you!

Through the haze of the weather and flickering sconce light, she spotted Basso running some sort of scan of the area. Something tactical and coordinated, she hoped, capitalising on her profession. The older human hadn’t been in many encounters like this before, having spent most of her career in the lower decks, though she supposed she ought to get used to it. Suddenly another bolt screeched through the air, this time from another direction.

Finch: Are you quite sure about that, Mister Gnaxac!?

Pace: Response

Gnaxac: ::under his breath:: Ok-k-kay, maybe not.

The white-haired engineer steeled herself behind a stone fortress-like wall as Basso clambered over to her location, device tightly gripped. Doz’s brown eyes squinted down at it, jolting whenever a phaser beam flew past her snowy bob.

Basso: Commander, I believe there are at least two suspects in the building, one on the ground floor and the other on the second level. There is a fire exit on the west side of the building.

Finch: I’m all ears.

Pace: Response

Basso: If one team gives covering fire, two of us could ambush them inside. I volunteer.

The older woman didn’t have a lot of time to mull or dwell over the details, as much as she felt it needed mulling and dwelling over. Putting the younger officers in that situation felt a bit like barbed wire in her chest—thoughts of Timothy floating in her mind—but she reminded herself that this situation had to be manageable for Basso to have suggested her plan at all. There were four of them, after all, and they were all trained the same, though perhaps the Bajoran had just a wee bit more in this realm of expertise.

Finch: Mister Gnaxac, ::she called out, gesturing to the building,:: Pace! We’re following Basso’s plan. Two at this point, two heading into the other.

Gnaxac / Pace / Basso: Response

Finch: Alright then. Let’s do it!

Gnaxac / Pace / Basso: Response
