((Inside the Azetbur, Captain's Yacht Docking Station, USS Gorkon))

As the two engineers set about fixing an issue the yacht was experiencing running too hot, they began talking about the Andorian woman’s partners, and the elaborate process involved in a typical bonding. When the subject of telepathy cropped up, she was reminded of Hal’s background, and so naturally her interest had piqued some.

Finch: I know someone who uses his telepathy to help others. Or knew someone, I suppose. Might know him again. ::She pulled a bemused expression.:: Don’t ask, It’s a bit complicated. But it has me wondering whether you can find someone to help you navigate yours. Another Aenar?

zh’Tisav: Not likely in Starfleet.  They rarely leave the Northern Wastes.  The fact that we thought them extinct for so long is proof of that.  I’ve only known of one actually, Jhyrazhao, but she’s been gone a while now.  My cousin visited Palanon when we were on leave some time ago, but she’s returned to her zabathus.

She couldn’t blame them, really, for choosing to rarely leave their corner of Andoria. If telepathy was as stressful as Vylaa made it out to be, then staying in an environment where the people around you all understood that feeling must have been a source of comfort. In a sense, starships were a bit like that, particularly those out in the deepest trenches of space, on the longest missions of exploration.

It struck her that a person didn’t really need telepathy to understand the truth of the people around them. It was usually written in their words, in their actions, in their being. Though in a way she supposed perspectives were different and misunderstandings did happen — perhaps there were times when it was a handy skill to have. How many times in her life had she struggled to get a point across, when it was there in her mind lit up in neon?

Finch: Well, I can’t say I blame them.

After a short lull, the topic pivoted back to the yacht, and the older engineer blinked her brown eyes like the wings of a small bird at the panel's innards.

zh’Tisav: My hand’s much better now, how can I help?

Finch: All in one piece, is it? It's cracking stuff that gel, isn't it?

zh'Tisav: Response

Finch: Fabulous! Well there’s a few components here that need replacing, so if you could snatch a PADD from somewhere, we'll make a list.

zh'Tisav: Response

When they were both ready, Doz would go on to list the various bits and bobs that needed switching out, helped along no doubt by a wandering Alorr whose curiosity over the various small bolts laying around would make her both a useful apprentice, and a top tier maker of mischief.
