((Transporter Room 1, USS Gorkon))

Toran Sevo was surprised to find himself called for a mission-in-progress, with the Admiral no less. He was a little less excited when he found out he was replacing Lt. Commander Ayiana Sevo’s spot, his symbiont doppelganger. Still, he prepared quickly and professionally, soon arriving at the transporter room to meet Reynolds, Commander V’Lar, and Lieutenant Taelon who entered shortly after him.

Taelon: Do we have a bead on our informant’s location?

T. Sevo: By calling me, sir, I assume things are dangerous down there and you need more security? ::He asked Reynolds. ::

Reynolds: Response

V’Lar: We have already encountered multiple instances of aggression, it would be logical to anticipate further such danger.

T. Sevo: Any special security arrangements I need to know about? From your quick briefing, it sounds like you suspect more assasination attempts down there?

Taelon nodded silently.

Reynolds: Response

T. Sevo: Fully prepared, sir. Will we be beaming down to the last known location of this Ep’ehko directly?

Reynolds: Response

V'Lar: Do we have any additional support available should we require it?

T. Sevo: We should be able to call in for reinforcements if needed.

Reynolds: Responses

V'Lar: I am ready to proceed.

Taelon: As am I, Admiral.

Reynolds: Responses

Toran remained silent as he nodded, following the rest and stepping onto the transporter pad. After a moment, he felt the familiar tug of the transporter beam, and the vision of the transporter room dissolved in his eyes to be immediately replaced (from his perspective) by a dark, raining cityscape. He raised his head, blocking his eyes from the acid rain with his hand to see the orbital ring above.

The city was consistent with the Klingon architectural style Toran had come to know, though this city had less embellishments (read: spikes) than the Capital City on Qo’noS. Everything was purely functional in design. Or were at one point, though a lot looked dilapidated and neglected.

A beam of light waved past him and Toran looked to see it emanating from Taelon’s robot. It was certainly an interesting tool. While he didn’t remove his phaser from his side, Toran looked around, checking for immediate dangers, ambush points, defensive points, and the like with professional scrutiny.

T. Sevo: Immediate area is clear.

Reynolds / V’lar: Responses

Taelon: Um, the colony records say their apartment is - Su'roq jav cha’chorgh. Floor six, apartment eighteen. They-

Taelon was cut short by the sound of shattering glass. Toran instinctively pulled his phaser out as he looked around. He quickly looked above to see shards of glass raining down towards them. Taelon looked frozen in place as the man stared at them falling.

T. Sevo: MOVE! ::He gently pushed on Taelon, bringing his focus back. ::

Reynolds / V’lar: Responses

The group ran as fast as they could into the building; Toran noticed the glass shattering on the ground they had been standing near just moments before. He let the others in first, watching for anyone who might be coming from behind. Taelon quickly darted for a lift in the lobby, the rest following.

T. Sevo: I’m not sure it’s wise to take the lift up to a possible hostile environment.

Reynolds / V’lar: Responses

T. Sevo: ::Sighing:: Very well, in you go. I’ll be last in, first out.

Reynolds / V’Lar / Taelon: Response

As the four of them crammed into the lift, it was the first time Toran really noticed the physical differences between everyone. Admiral Reynolds was the shortest, followed by V’Lar. Taelon, however, towered over Toran by four inches, which was not a situation Toran was used to. He was usually the tallest and bulkiest person in a room (except, perhaps, for that Andorian engineer). Taelon’s bot made the fifth nacelle of their group.

The lift ascended slowly, but soon stopped at floor 6, if he was reading the Klingonese glyphs right. As the doors opened, Toran paused a moment, raising his phaser and looking out into the hallway, looking in all directions. When he decided the coast was clear, he stepped out first.

T. Sevo: Clear.

Reynolds / V’Lar / Taelon: Response

The hallway was relatively dark, bathed in dim red lighting consistent with Klingon aesthetics. There were multiple doors on each side of the hallway, going off in the distance some ways before turning a corner. It didn’t look (or smell) like the place had been cleaned in…ever. If the city had a dilapidated slum, this was it. He couldn’t imagine why anyone would willingly live here. Maybe they didn’t have a choice.

T. Sevo: What apartment did you say he was in?

Reynolds / V’Lar / Taelon: Response
