((OOC: Pro-tip remember to hit send after it’s saved as a draft 🤦🏼‍♀️ So sorry it took me so long to realize!))

(( USS Gorkon, Deck 4, Holodeck 6 - “Tiffany’s Diner” ))

The trio’s talk had turned from normal shore leave activities to Gormaganders, which Vesela was immensely intrigued by. It wasn’t every day you encountered one, much less heard the story of a Gormagander rescue!

Pace: Whoa, and then you were able to rescue them?

Admiral Reynolds nodded.

Reynolds: An away team boarded the ship to assess the situation. In the end, they used a probe with an energy pulse as bait to draw the lightning bugs out of the ship, then we were able to restore power and contain the escapees. The ones that breathe atmosphere, anyway. ::She smiled.:: The Gorkon escorted the gormaganders here.

Spelvan: An energy pulse is an innovative solution.

Pace: Agreed, that was some great on-the-fly thinking and working!

The Gorkon seemed to have many crewmembers fluent in innovative solutions. Vesela would have to keep that in mind if she needed any lessons in thinking outside of the box.

Reynolds: It won’t be long before you have a book of war stories of your own. ::She offered them a wry smile.:: Hold on to that sense of wonder. It’ll serve you well.

oO Wait, war stories? Oo

And then she remembered she’d seen the Admiral as the Borg Queen. She gulped down a sip of her milkshake.

Spelvan: Thank you - I will make a conscious attempt.

Pace: Same here, I hope to have wonder to spare.

Vesela wondered for a moment at that. She couldn’t imagine herself without a sense of wonder. Curiosity was why she was a scientist after all. And if the Borg couldn’t take that, nothing could. She almost nodded emphatically but remembered no one else could hear her thoughts.

Spelvan: ::He waved a hand at their surroundings.:: I understand this program was created by former officers? It is a rather unique venue.

Pace: Whoever they are they did an amazing job, this is just like the real deal!

Reynolds: Response

Spelvan: Interesting. Are there any other locations of note either of you would recommend visiting on-ship? Since I have not been here very long, I am afraid I have not “explored” the Gorkon properly yet.

Vesela thought for a moment and gave the only reply she could think of.

Pace: The library! I know it isn’t very practical, but it always seems to have the best views.

Reynolds: Response

Vesela pondered for a moment.

Pace: I don’t know if I’ve ever been there, either. This is quite a big ship if you think about it!

Reynolds / Spelvan: Response

Pace: I might be biased, but I do think the Gorkon’s one of the best in the Fleet. Where else’ll you get one of the best holographic diners out there?

Was this her first time at Tiffany’s? Yes. Would anywhere with access to the program also have Tiffany’s? Also yes. But the Gorkon was special in many other ways as well.

Reynolds / Spelvan: Response
