The two Vulcans prepared to move the halfway stuck door. With their combined strength they should be able to move it without too much resistance, as long as the door slides were free of any solid obstruction.

Valek: Ensign, upon your readiness, we will commence a countdown from three. Admiral, the door will be open momentarily.

Reynolds: Response

With some scratching sounds and small grunts of the two Vulcans, the door slowly slid completely open, allowing full access to the space. They entered carefully. Valek and Spelvan were almost side by side as the Admiral stepped in after them. Valek quickly used his rifle's torch to scan the room. It was still dark and what could be seen was in deep shadows, crouched down near a tall cylinder that had strange panels covering it was a female Koblaid. He surmised, through deduction, that this was most likely Dr. Gamoya.

As Spelvan moved a bit closer and directed his light on her, she once again started chattering, repeating her words. Her eyes had a blank stare as if she was in a trance or in severe deep shock. She was injured and her arm was covered by a bleeding piece of cloth.

Spelvan: We should not go any closer. My readings - and my eyes - indicate a dangerous temporal anomaly.

Valek: A temporal anomaly. Intriguing. It appears this facility was engaged in the manipulation of highly hazardous technology.

Reynolds: Response

Spelvan: It seems this mechanism generates a time reversal field. I believe she was attempting to use it to... regress her personal injuries and possible genetic mutation. An ingenious if dangerous undertaking, especially considering that something went wrong.

Spelvan definitely had a good observational point on this matter. Whatever technology she was attempting to use, definitely did not resemble StarFleet standard equipment. Whatever these scientists were studying or testing, appears to have been well past their understanding. And they were paying the price.

Valek: Attempting communication in her condition may inhibit a viable response.

Reynolds: Response

Valek: ::looking intently at the woman:: With my limited knowledge, It may be possible to invert the resonance field or collapse the anomaly to restore her temporal alignment. However, the probability of catastrophic consequences must be considered.

The drone of the woman's voice rang out again....much louder now, less in pain.

Unknown Woman: ::voice louder:: Yes, I'm here. In the back....I'm...very injured and.....it is possible I've been infected. Please help, I cannot move much due to the extreme pain. ::She groaned softly,:: Please...

Valek didn't actually feel helpless, but did note a degree of concern that he could not come up with a solid solution to help the woman or his team. He was not fully up on his temporal mechanics and any information he could provide would most likely be invalid.

Spelvan: Have you brushed up on your temporal mechanics lately, Admiral?

Valek: ::looking at Spelvan then Reynolds:: Ensign, my understanding of temporal mechanics is limited; therefore, my ability to assist is limited.

Reynolds: Response

The team looked down at the injured woman, Valek felt what could be considered concern, but logically he knew it was just the push to get the job completed and keep everyone safe. As he watched the woman her eyes suddenly rolled back and turned solid black. Her body then stiffened and she began to rise. Spittle was forming at the corners of her mouth.

Reynolds / Spelvan: Respond

She slid up, her back against the cylinder and she looked over at the three officers with a blank stare. She stopped her repeated sentences and now did not look like she was in any distress.

Valek's awareness went to full level. Has the infection taken hold? She then moved her arm up and pointed her hand and fingers toward the officers. She started whispering something, but Valek could not make out what she was mumbling. She kept mumbling until finally he could hear what she was saying. Valek slowly raised his phaser rifle into firing position....

Unknown Woman: ::ghostly and scratchy voice:: WE....ARE.....HERE.....WE....ARE....HERE....WE....ARE....HERE....

Reynolds / Spelvan: Respond
