((Seaside Cove, Cochtois Lagoon, Deluvia IV))
The beach was a burning-hot comfort against his back. Ruwon had taken the opportunity to enjoy it, laid out on the hot sand in little but a swimsuit and a pair of sunglasses. The sun above and the glimmering waters made the place a paradise, not so dissimilar to Risa save for the distant spires that rose from below the ocean surface, a small hint of the massive structures hidden below.
He'd made himself a sort of recliner out of sand, laid out on the rough shape of a beach chair, PADD ready with a book.
The Romulan had simpler desires today - warm sun, cool water, and a good stiff drink. Thankfully, the planet’s tourist spots provided all of those in abundance. And the underwater wonders meant the beaches were relatively uncrowded. He'd made himself a sort of recliner out of sand, laid out on the rough shape of a beach chair, PADD ready with a book.
The sun was cut off as someone loomed over him, blocking it. He raised his sunglasses and looked up to see a familiar face.
Ruwon: Ah, hello. Chose to stay above the water as well, I take it?
Any: Response
He looked at the drink in his hand - it’d come in an elegant sculpted glass, fluted and turned into a spiral shape. The colors inside were a gradient of pinks, oranges, and a nuclear blue, topped with fruit and those little umbrellas the humans seemed to have spread across the galaxy like some sort of disease.
Ruwon: Ah, it’s a - what was it? The ‘Tidal Inversion’, I think. It’s very fruity. The bar’s up the beach, just there.
He gestured over his shoulder to one of oh-so-many little huts at the top of the beach, each decorated in bright signs advertising whichever pleasure they exchanged for.
Any: Response
Ruwon: Well, it seems those of us who stayed aboard missed out on a lot of chaos. I do hope you were spared?
