((Jefferies Tube coming out of Main Engineering, USS Gorkon))

Gnaxac felt his legs being grabbed and pulled backwards, meaning he was no longer upside-down in the panel’s tightly packed space, and he gave her a thumbs up as a show of thanks. There was a flicker of something on her face, although he had no idea what it signified.

Gnaxac: T-t-ta! Let’s g-g-get out of here, and we can vent it.

zh’Tisav: We can do that from the last junction, come on.

Vylaa crawled off, whilst Gnaxac practically sauntered (well, not really) back down the tube. Vylaa perched on the lip of the ladder, and Gnaxac joined her, his little legs dangling over the side. When he was clear she activated the junction’s control panel. She punched in a few commands and the emergency hatch behind them slid shut. Gnaxac let out a little sigh of relief - not that he thought she would forget to let them free before she vented the tube, just that’s how his anxiety worked.

zh’Tisav: This should do it. ::She scooched to the side.:: But double check I please. The last thing we want to do is accidentally vent half the ship.

Gnaxac’s little hands clenched in a moment of abject horror - that was a terrifying prospect. He didn’t relish the idea of having to explain to the Admiral how they had accidentally blasted half the crew into nothingness.

Gnaxac: G-g-good idea. ::he checked her work:: I think we’re g-g-good to g-g-go.

zh’Tisav: Go ahead and run it. ::Her antennae curled toward each other and her eyes twinkled playfully.:: That way I can blame you if it goes wrong.

Gnaxac let out a little nervous laugh.

Gnaxac: Oh-k-k-kay… ::his stubby thumb hit the vent button, and he looked up to see the goop being sucked out of the tube, as if an old cleaning device had simply been applied to the side of the ship:: It’s quite p-p-pretty in its way, isn’t it?

zh’Tisav: Response

Gnaxac: I j-j-just mean, it’s n-n-n-not very often you g-g-get to see anything m-m-move in a v-v-vaccuum, right?

Although whatever Vylaa did in her own time was no business of his.

zh’Tisav: Response
