(( Songbird bar, USS Gorkon ))

The conversation continued in Songbird between Maezel, Crauw, and Spelvan. The others seemed to be enjoying Lorrk, which had made Maezel happy, especially as it had led to an opportunity to talk about Bolian cuisine with the pair. She had also discovered that Spelvan had an interest in genetics which pleased Maezel considering her specialty dipped heavily into the subject too.

Fenn: And if you just want to geek out over the latest discoveries, then feel free to contact me. Same for you Lachlan, I bet you’re hiding a genetics degree we don’t know about right?

Lachlan raised his hands, palms pointed towards Maezel and Spelvan.

Crauw: The only degree I have is for mixing drinks, non-lethal drinks even. Some may contain a certain degree of alcohol but that is about it. ::He eyed Spelvan.::  And yes, I do know that can be lethal too.

Spelvan: Response

Crauw: Can I get anyone a refill?

Looking down and the table slightly, Maezel noticed her glass was empty. She’d enjoyed the lemonade and could definitely be tempted towards another though she did wonder what other drinks were available.

Fenn: What's on the drinks menu here?

Spelvan: Response

Crauw: We have plenty of other drinks to choose from and if needed, and I know it’s no comparison with the Brew Continuum, but the replicator makes some good coffee and tea too. ::He smiled.:: Programmed with a special ingredient only known by me.

Fenn: ::thinking for a second:: I’ll stick with lemonade please.

Spelvan: Response

Crauw: You know another benefit as bartender? I hear all the great stories firsthand. So I expect both of you to do exactly the same thing. That makes me part of the adventure too.

Maezel had every intention of sharing her experiences. Shore leave was always welcome but she couldn’t wait to depart for her first mission so she could prove herself to the ship, the crew and perhaps a little to herself as well. Growing up in a wealthy family certainly had benefits but learning she could survive in the galaxy on her own two feet would bring its own set of benefits. Plus, she just really liked to talk.

Fenn: Deal. You keep the lemonade flowing and I’ll tell you the stories.

Spelvan: Response

Fenn: You must have heard some stories in your time aboard the ship Lachlan. Tell us about some of the crazy adventures you’ve heard about.

Crauw / Spelvan: Response

Fenn: ::adjusting herself to sit comfortably for story time:: It can literally be anything.
