((Jefferies Tube coming out of Main Engineering, USS Gorkon))
The Andorian slid the spanner forward, then crawled forward a bit. She really was squashed in there, whereas Gnaxac could probably start doing complicated yoga poses and not touch the sides. He looked over at her, and gestured to the panel that he was struggling with.
Gnaxac: I c-c-could use your help - one of the p-p-panels is so overcrusted with g-g-gunk, I can’t pry it open - ::he tried not to stare at her more athletic frame:: perhaps you c-c-can help?
zh’Tisav: Sure. ::Lifts an eyebrow.:: You’ll need to scooch over. You’re small but not that small.
Gnaxac smiled and shuffled up, which was really quite easy for him. Vylaa however had to struggle forward a little.
Gnaxac: Oh… y-y-yes, of c-c-course.
Vylaa took hold of the panel in question and pulled. He could see a vein in her neck pulsate as she struggled with it.
zh’Tisav: Yeah, that is stuck. We should try chipping some of this away.
Gnaxac held up the small laser torch he’d been using. It was quite a diddy one, so it had been slow going.
Gnaxac: It’s what I’ve b-b-been doing.
zh’Tisav: I can try my knife, unless you have a sonic chisel in your toolkit?
Gnaxac shook his large-lobed head, and gestured to his tools, which were spread out all over the kit, as well as over some of the tube.
Gnaxac: I haven’t s-s-seen a ch-ch-chisel, but this has been working. S-s-s-slowly.
zh’Tisav: Response
Gnaxac gestured that she should try from one end, and he’d go from the other, and they worked in silence for a moment, Gnaxac lasering away at the crust, whilst Vylaa chipped away at it with a rather large and aggressive looking knife.
Gnaxac: So… why d-d-do you have that, j-j-just on your p-p-person?
zh’Tisav: Response
