((Inside the Warehouse - Lower vIq'mItlh City))
Instead of entering the other part of the warehouse by luring the Klingons out into the warehouse, so they could sneak into the part where the Klingons currently resided, their plan faltered as Samira found herself caught in a beam of light when the female Klingon opened the door as if she had knocked on it.
Both not happy with that outcome, the ladies had run into each other, with the Klingon winning this round. A few moments later, the Klingon had fired at Spelvan and carried him on his shoulder like a sack of her preferred vegetables. Once she could breathe again, Samira shot down the female Klingon and with Spelvan’s help, they attacked two more Klingons who had their eyes on Tahna and Astrid.
She took a deep breath, some muscles in her back protesting as she did, and looked towards the aisle she had come from. They had to disable the alarm, disarm the Klingons and secure them somewhere so they couldn’t attack when they woke up.
Neathler: At least the office-part will be empty now.
Auricsdóttir: That is true.
Spelvan: Hopefully the alarm does not alert anyone outside of the warehouse or notify the authorities.
Nothing could be done about that now. If it happened, it happened and they’d deal with the situation then. They were just lost inside the warehouse, weren’t they? Somehow Tahna didn’t look very impressed at both Samira and Spelvan.
Spelvan: Would someone please help me? I believe my wrist is broken.
She looked from Tahna to Spelvan, a worried look showing. The ensign surely knew how to get injured during his first mission. She would have to keep a closer eye on him, maybe he wasn’t just ready for fieldwork yet.
Tahna: I've got you. ::She offered him a soft smile before looking at the others.:: Can you two do something about that alarm?
Auricsdóttir: :: Nodding :: I will see what I can do.
Astrid moved away, gazing at the walls, while Samira just nodded. If Astrid covered the alarm part, she could occupy herself with the Klingons as in making sure they couldn’t sound another alarm of any kind.
Neathler: I’ll disarm the Klingons and tie them up.
Meru started to rummage through the doctor’s medkit as Samira moved towards the two Klingons she had shot down. Using part of their clothing, she tied them up the best she could and removed their weapons, knives and other blades they were carrying.
Tahna: Better, Doc?
Spelvan: If anyone else requires medical assistance, I am able to help now.
Samira ignored the offer and moved on to the other fallen Klingons.
Auricsdóttir: I should be fine for now. Thank you though.
So far it seemed Astrid had little luck in finding the off-switch for the alarm, as the sound still blared in the warehouse as if it were adamant to wake up every vegetable and fruit in their crates. She couldn’t see Astrid from her current position, but she figured the ensign would have more success with finding the off-switch in the part where the Klingons had been hiding.
Spelvan: Commander, did you obtain a sample of our vegetable of interest? We should send it to the Gorkon right away.
Tahna: Yes, and we should check out that office.
Auricsdóttir: I hope we find something after all the trouble we have had.
With all the Klingons tied, Samira followed the others into the office. A quick look around and a consult of her tricorder told her where the Klingons had gathered earlier. The table held an independent computer unit. She walked towards it and sat down on one of the chairs. She studied the symbols on the display and then pressed a button. Nothing happened. She had more luck with the button next to it as the alarm went quiet.
Tahna: Anyone skilled at hacking?
She looked up towards the workstations. All of them seemed locked.
Auricsdóttir: Maybe… I can try at least.
Their pilot sat down at the workstation, scanning it. The next moment a panel on the side of the workstation was removed and Astrid changed something in the innards of the console. Samira remained where she was, pressing a key now and then on the independent station but all that did was show her Klingon numbers in a different order. If she had to guess she was looking at the unit that kept track of the weight sensors.
Spelvan: Response
Samira leaned back in the chair as the others rummaged through drawers and the rest of the office, but immediately sat up as the bruises in her back protested. A nice hot shower would do wonders now. But that wouldn't happen in the first hours.
Tahna: There’s another room, a bit bigger than this one, in the back of the warehouse. It’s not clear what it contains. Could be worth a look.
At those words, Samira consulted her own tricorder. She only noticed it now. It lay alongside this office, and she had presumed it had been part of this office.
Spelvan: Response
Auricsdóttir: :: Turning away from the workstation to look at the rest of the team. :: It may be worth checking the Klingons, to see if they carry anything.
Neathler: They’ve been stripped from weapons, and they didn’t carry any extra PADDs when I checked them. ::She looked at Tahna.:: I didn’t search for smaller items like data chips or such.
Tahna / Spelvan: Response
Auricsdóttir: I am in, but the files are all encrypted. We could break them eventually, but it would be much faster if we found a data chip with the key.
Neathler: I guess we can search the Klingons again, or find another way in.
Tahna / Spelvan: Response
Auricsdóttir: The security system just registered the door opening. The same door we used. We may have company, or one of the Klingons may have woken up.
Samira stood up and moved behind Astrid, looking at the screen. It just showed the layout of the building. No cameras of what was happening in the warehouse or outside.
Neathler: Or another shuttle landed.
Tahna / Spelvan: Response
It was always possible that one of the Klingons had freed themselves. She should have dragged them all in one place where she could have kept an eye on them. Samira looked at the three of them. Even when carrying a hood, none of them could fool someone else they were Klingon.
Neathler: We should greet them as fast as possible, without them discovering the other Klingons.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir / Spelvan: Response
Neathler: I suggest we all go together and close this door.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir / Spelvan: Response
Walking back into the warehouse, Samira saw the flaw in her plan. With some of the goods tossed around throughout the different aisles, whoever walked in would know something had happened. A male voice called out from the entrance. Holding both his hands on his stomach, a male Klingon looked in their direction.
Kra’Neth: Hello.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir / Spelvan: Response
