(( Cochtois Lagoon - Deluvia IV ))
The trio had arrived at a well-known restaurant hidden along the coastline at the beginning of the forest. The venue gave a spectacular view of the beachside and ocean while one could consume drinks and have a bite to eat. The latter mainly being very local food that almost changed daily according to what was available. With all the snacks Samira had already tried since they had arrived in the lagoon, she had opted for seaweed-based salad.
A young Selkie came and took the order from the people sitting next to them and then moved over to their table. Yet, before he reached them, he greeted a couple of Selkie and walked them inside the restaurant.
Neathler: It makes me wonder if the Selkie still see the beauty of this place or if they take it for granted.
Fenn: Well just looking at how well kept this beach is and all the bars we’ve been in are I would say they definitely don’t take it for granted or they wouldn’t care to maintain it. They probably appreciate what they have but they’re used to seeing it every day.
Tourism was also their source of income, though Samira wondered if they truly needed it. The planet seemed self-sufficient. Though with the N’Vea Hospitals having their own reputation and the plentiful coming and going from not only patients but also the medical staff, it was a blessing the Selkie had taken it upon themselves to cater for the many outside visitors of Deluvia.
Fenn: When the waiter comes back with our food maybe we could ask him?
Neathler: If he’s not too busy.
Marshall: Response
The last free table on the other side of the porch welcomed a new group of visitors. Samira leaned back in the comfortable chairs and took a deep breath, listening to the gentle chatter of those around her, mixed with the gentle sound of the surf coming from the ocean.
Fenn: ::gesturing around:: There’s also plenty of other Selkies around here maybe we could ask them instead?
Neathler: I’m in favour of letting the people enjoy their meal. Maybe we can ask someone when we leave.
Marshall: Response
She didn’t want to intrude, not when the people around them were chatting softly, minding their own business. Maybe there would be a better opportunity later on. She heard a dog yapping in the distance and stared briefly towards the ocean, turning back to her present company.
Neathler: I was thinking, opening a restaurant is another way to settle down and still keep in touch with people from different worlds. Especially in a place like this.
Marshall / Fenn: Response
Neathler: There's already plenty of them, so I don't really…
Her words were cut short when suddenly a dog came rushing towards their table, looking for a pet from one person in particular. Samira laughed at the view when Rubin demanded Jo’s attention. She looked up and nodded a greeting towards the person that chaperoned Rubin, or was it the other way around?
Marshall / Fenn: Response
Neathler: Your timing is perfect, Erin. We still have to order our food. ::She gave Erin some time to settle before she nodded towards Maezel.:: We thought we’d show our newest crewmember why we like to spend our shore leave on Deluvia.
