((Inside the Warehouse - Lower vIq'mItlh City))
The investigation into the drug epidemic on the Klingon colony had brought the Starfleet officers from the Gorkon to a produce warehouse, where they had discovered more about the drug's origin. They had been discovered by the employees, but after a firefight the team had prevailed, knocking them all out.
However, a new (and injured) Klingon had appeared, who was asking after someone named Kortag. Spelvan was concerned that the other Klingons might wake up.
Spelvan: If I may be excused. I should ensure that the employees here are getting their much-needed rest.
Tahna: Of course. It’s been a tiring day.
Neathler: Holler if you need any help.
Auricsdóttir: Response
Spelvan made his way to each of the Klingons scattered throughout the warehouse as quickly as possible, giving them all a hearty dose of sedative via hypo. Thankfully, none of them woke up while he did so. His last patient was the woman Klingon who had startled Neathler from before.
Tahna: Since you don’t need medical attention, if you’d like to wait outside we’ll have the goods brought out. ::She smiled.:: No reason for you to load stuff yourself.
Kra’Neth: Ah, but I do need medical attention, though not from four strangers whom I have never seen here before.
Spelvan: That is perfectly understandable.
Auricsdóttir: Response
Suddenly, there was a loud boom in the warehouse - a bomb or explosive of some kind? Even with Spelvan's excellent hearing it was unclear what direction it had come from.
Tahna: Wait outside, we’ll handle this.
The doctor decided he would wait until the rest of his teammates caught up to where he was.
Spelvan: I will follow you momentarily.
Auricsdóttir: Response
A moment later, Tahna and Astrid appeared... followed by Kra'Neth, who seemed distraught at seeing the unconscious Klingon woman Spelvan was standing nearby.
Kra’Neth: Kortag! What have you done to her?
Neathler: She was tired and needed some sleep?
Spelvan: My colleague is correct.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir: Response
Of course. It seemed so simple in hindsight - Kra'Neth was a customer, though whether he was involved in the drug business was anyone's guess at this moment. The Vulcan guessed that they were unlikely to get many answers out of him now, as he looked quite angry.
Spelvan felt his cheeks glow in embarrassment. He should have been much, much more careful when speaking to Kra'Neth. He had been acting by instinct when he had used the tricorders - not logical at all.
There was nothing to be done now, however - as illogical as his actions had been earlier, it would be as equally illogical to dwell on his mistakes. Though perhaps a brush-up on stealth training was called for in the future.
Meanwhile, their security officer was aiming her phaser at the Klingon in an attempt to threaten him into standing down.
Neathler: We mean you no harm, you can still walk out and pretend you haven’t seen a thing.
Kra’Neth: And let you assault my people? I don’t think so!
Tahna / Auricsdóttir: Response
"Assault" was a strong word, but this was not the time to nitpick phraseology. Besides, Kra'Neth had no idea what they were doing here.
Spelvan: I extend apologies.
Neathler stunned the Klingon, who had taken something out of his pocket, though it wasn't a weapon.
Neathler: Can you see to his injury?
Spelvan knelt beside Kra'Neth and did a more thorough scan than he had before. He used his anabolic protoplaser to stabilize some of the bleeding, but the Klingon's wounds were deeper than the doctor's initial survey had indicated. Spelvan had concerns about blood loss and possible damage to Kra'Neth's organs - damage that gould require surgery. Clearly the Klingon had been at the losing end of an intense fight.
The security officer tied up his hands and removed the device that he had been holding.
Neathler: Did you find an entrance to that backroom? I didn't see any other door earlier when I walked around the warehouse.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir: Response
Spelvan: I have not.
Spelvan had been occupied with getting the Klingons reliably unconscious again and had not kept an eye out for any hidden doors. But there was that device that Kra'Neth had been holding...
Spelvan: Is it possible that the device could open a hidden door? Or does it have another purpose?
Tahna / Auricsdóttir / Neathler: Response
It was an idea at least, one that Spelvan hoped held water in this case.
He stood, ready to give an assessment about the new Klingon.
Spelvan: My recommendation is that Kra'Neth should be transported to Sickbay as soon as possible. His injuries are more severe than I originally calculated, and a secure location may be the best location to discover his involvement, if any, to our current investigation.
Tahna / Auricsdóttir / Neathler: Response
