((Above the City of Idridi, Betazed))
The sweet, fragrant air lapped at Miaxdiso’s face as their roofless shuttlecraft carried them across the skies of the city outskirts, over the huge astrodomes famed for their globally renowned galas. The sky itself was a clear and divine sapphire dimmed only by her white rounded sunglasses. Sunglasses that were accompanied by a blue and cream headscarf made of silk in whirling patterns, to keep her blonde hair perfectly in place, and from the shoulder down a similarly coloured sleeveless dress made from organza.
Avoi: Quick, quick, look below! Those are the astrodomes I was telling you all about. Aren’t they just the biggest things you have ever seen? And completely lavish on the inside. ::She tickled an ivory earring.:: Well, depending on who is hosting, I suppose.

Beside her in the back seat of the flying convertible was her dearest friend Xandria, the human who had supported her through a hellish year she feared she may never get over. A friend who had agreed to join her on her very important family visit, despite all of the travelling involved. It would only be for a short time, and was a chance not only for Xandria to see the place Miaxdiso came from, but to meet the people the Betazoid spoke so often about too.
Avoi: House Avoi are eminently unrivalled in the realm of shindigs and galas, Xandria! Why, even the Noble Houses go out of their way to attend. Nobody throws a party like we do.

The driver was her mother Meivredi’s personal valet and had been for decades. An extremely devoted Hupyrian man with the strangest taste in music that her mother had always insisted he be allowed to listen to. Mostly because he tended to have the most outrageous thoughts and it was only his music that could drown it out.
Smile stretched beyond its molecular limits, she nodded to Xandria fueled with glee as the great shining City of Idridi, her wonderful home, came into full view. And a staggeringly splendid sight it was, full of magnificent skyscrapers as tall as mountains, fulgurating and blinding in their striking glass designs.
Down below it was the swell and heart of it all, the people going about their days in their colourful and vividly extravagant couture, wielding the latest and greatest fashion of the moment. Fluffy yellow hats. Pointed green gowns. Twinkling scarlet bags. Oh! She had missed it so much.
Avoi: You’ll be attending one, of course! Don’t you worry about that. But first, I want you to soak it all in, Xandria. My home. My city. My Idridi!
