to Gemini
((Shuttlecraft, Enroute to Garridon V Surface))

::To say that the ride was rather bumpy was kind of an understatement,
but Kali knew the flying conditions were far from ideal. Instead of
saying anything, she simply let the harness hold her into the seat as
they bumped and bounced their way through the clouds. Next to her, her
Marine 'security' detail sat equally as calm. To an outsider, they
probably looked as if nothing were going on around them even though it
was, and quite dramatically at that.::

::The din of the metal squealing under duress made talking nearly
impossible, though Kali kept an eye on each of the team members until
they came crashing to a halt, thankfully on the surface of the planet.
If she had been in the cockpit, she would have seen what it took to get
them there, but from the back she could only wager a guess. It wasn't
until she followed the First Officer out of the craft that she noticed
Moore in the suit and already out of the ship.::

::She seemed alright, so Kali only raised an eyebrow and looked from her
to the creature laying nearby. What was going on here...?::

Blair: If that's the way you feel, we'll just pack back up and head home.

::From the look and sound of it, the man before them was expecting
something else. It seemed that they weren't good enough, even after all
of that.::

Weston: [TAG]

Nicholotti: We can certainly be that starting point.

::Without waiting for much of a response, she pulled a tricorder out and
moved towards the creature, which hadn't crawled too far away following
whatever had wounded it. Kali wished she had seen it.::

T'Mar/Shayne/Mayne/Inde/Larson: [TAG]

Blair: Maybe we're not the best suited team, but we are what you're
getting for now.

Weston/T’Mar/Shayne/Carr/Mayne/Inde/Larson: [TAG]

::Kali remained silent as the others conversed and asked questions. Not
having been privy to the message to begin with, she didn't have much to
say. The body of the creature, however, did.::

Blair: Your message wasn’t all that clear and the Starfleet databases
didn’t have much info on this little settlement, so we had no idea what
we were heading into.

Weston: [TAG]

Blair: Once we establish contact with the ship we can arrange for more
personnel, supplies, or whatever else is needed. For now we need to know
the situation.

:: At that, Kali finished her scan and returned to the group.::

Weston/T’Mar/Shayne/Carr/Mayne/Inde/Larson: [TAG]

Nicholotti: How many are hurt?

Blair: And what about that thing that tried to maim Moore?

:: The First Officer's question seemed to trump hers and drew the
attention of the other man there. He turned to her in some kind of
hysterical fit.::

Bartholomew: You're Moore? ::without thinking:: What the frak were you
thinking?! There's a frakking lightning hurricane out there!

:: And that was when she hit him. It didn't seem all that hard, but it
did seem to break the man of his panic.::

Moore: I find a good slap cures hysterics on the spot.

:: Kali chuckled under her breath as the man stumbled back and bumped
into the ungrateful one. For a rescue mission, these guys seemed a bit
too worried about stuff that wasn't all that important.::

Bartholomew: Uh, Oliver. You might want to handle this.

Weston: [TAG]

:: And Moore just seemed to dare him. Kali shook her head.::

Moore: Stephanie Moore.

Weston: [TAG]

T’Mar/Shayne/Carr/Mayne/Inde/Larson/Blair: [TAG]

Nicholotti: This isn't helping us, how about you tell me how many
wounded you have, where they are, and what we can do to help here.
Otherwise I'm quite happy to return to the comfort of the Gemini.

Weston/Moore/Anyone: Response?

TAG/TBC
