((Bridge, USS Gemini))
::A lot was happening in very little time. T'Mar had put together a team and gave the names to Blair for use whent hey arrived. For the time being, the 103rd would not be joining them in the shuttle, but she had them on standby for use. Richards had then appeared and pulled the Captain into his ready room.::
Es-Aleh: We're readying probes for launch, Commander. Once they're deployed, we should have more to add to the planetary data.
Blair: Thank you ensign. Go ahead and launch them.
Es-Aleh: Deployment pattern is ready, just waiting for the final prep on the probes themselves - and for us to get there
Blair: Once the probes are away start narrowing down the source of the transmission. We’ve lost a lot of time getting this far, we can’t afford to lose much more.
Es-Aleh: I'll get the algorithms set up whilst we wait.
Blair: Mister Shayne, once we narrow down the location put us into a synchronous orbit.
::In lieu of speaking the new Lieutenant simply nodded.::
Blair: All right folks, now’s the time to get all the information we can.
::T'Mar used this as a chance to collect all the information that she required to fulfill her role as mission specialist. It did not do her any good if she was not understanding what was happening.::
((Time Skip, A few minutes later))
::The sound of a door swooshing open made T'Mar look up. Liam was back on the bridge, apparently surviving the encounter with Richards.::
Blair: Welcome back sir.
Frost: Status?
Blair: We’ve found out enough that I feel we can head planet side.
Frost: Give me the condensed version.
Blair: ::pulling a map of the planet on the view screen:: Weston’s message originated on this continent, and we think we’ve figured out the major problem. The planet is almost completely covered in massive storm fronts.
Frost: This I can see.
::Liam's humor even in serious missions had taken T'Mar awhile to get used to, but she had known him a long time. She knew enough that he took this seriously, but his reply pointed out how obvious the statement had been.::
T'Mar: The storm fronts are the source of the interference.
Blair: It’s too risky at this point to rely on transporters, but I’m prepared to lead the team that Commander T’Mar suggested down in a shuttlecraft. Once down, we’ll contact Weston and assess the situation. We’ll also put up a system of transport enhancers to hopefully increase the reliability of the transporters.
Es-Aleh: I'm running a scan of the area as well, Captain. Just to make sure. I've got to agree with Commander Blair about the transporters, though. I can barely even make out the surface with all that EM junk in the way.
T'Mar: I for one do not wish to have our particles dispersed from the storms. I believe a reinforced shuttle should be safe for use on the way down.
Frost: Make it happen.
::The ship was now arriving at the location and time was limited. T'Mar nodded and prepared to leave her station. It was time to go.::
Blair: Understood sir. T’Mar, you’re with me.
T'Mar: Yessir.
Frost: Mr Shayne, you're going to. Get them down safe.
::As Shayne joined the T'Mar and Blair another ensign joined them, reporting to Blair. T'Mar merely listened.::
Carr : Thank you, Sir. Ready and eager, Sir. Where should I report to ?
Frost: If you're qualified for anything that can be useful on an away team, you're in.
T'Mar: The Ensign has not been cleared appropriately yet, Commander.
Blair: We can temporarily suspend the normal check in process, until our return to the ship. The rest of the team is waiting for us.
Carr: Aye, Sir. Lead the way.
T’Mar: The turbolift is our first stop.
Riel : That bad?
Frost: Worse.
Riel : Just point me where I can help.
Blair: Commander, Lieutenant, Ensign our ride’s waiting for us.
::With that, the Away team members made their way into the turbolift and headed for the shuttlebay.::
