(OOC- Hey guys, apologies for my absence. Between school and illness I've been pretty wiped out! Just a quick post to fill in some tags and I'll be playing catch up with T'Mar as well. -Mel)
((Loleh Rejock's Quarters, USS Gemini))
::Loleh woke up with a yawn and a stretch. She felt like she had slept for days.. probably because it was the first time in a long time that she had slept a proper amount. Normally she would spend horribly long hours in the science labs or reading, but she promised herself to find a better balance. She blinked her eyes a few times and got up from her bed. Again, she stretched a little bit more to feel more awake before making her way to the sonic shower. Her roommate was still asleep, so she took care to be quiet as she got ready. Once she was clean, she made her way to her closet to get a clean uniform out. Her mind drifted while she got dressed. Still, it wasn't long until she was ready for her shift..::

::The door swooshed open and Loleh walked in to find Richards and Larson already there. She mentally kicked herself for taking the time to eat seconds before leaving. Still, she wasn't late so she smiled in her usual fashion.::
Rejock: Commander Richards, Ensign Larson.. good to see you today!
Larson: :: Nodding her head. :: Lieutenant.
Richards: And good to see you too Lieutenant.
Rejock: I hope I didn't miss too much.. I stopped to get a bite to eat before reporting in.
Richards: Not much at all Lieutenant. In fact, I’ve been out of the loop these past few days, and I mean completely out of the loop. Relying on Ensigns from other departments to give us information to work with rather than directives from the command team. In all honesty, it just feels, wrong. But that is a story for another time.
::The one thing about science was that it waited for nobody. It's why Loleh tended to work so much. If she didn't discover some fascinating astronomical event, someone else would. Thankfully, she had a great team. She had run the department for a short while, when Richards was gone, but she was so happy to have him back.::
Rejock: Of course. So what's on the agenda for today, Commander?
Larson: Hopefully it does not involve dimensional rifts I have had more than enough of those
Richards: Modifying probes to carry some form of a weapon system I have no real understanding of it would seem. I’m going to head to the bridge to have a word with the Captain. It’s high time I got clued up on everything that is going on. If the pair of you could contact Ensign Es-Aleh and work with her, I should be back soon enough.
::Weapons were not something that Loleh was very familiar with. She didn't like Richards leaving her like that when she was dealing with technology she wasn't comfortable with.::
Larson: Weapons systems we don't fully understand? That sounds like we are flirting with catastrophe.
Rejock: To put it mildly...
Richards: Shouldn’t be more than 20 minutes. Let me know about any progress when I return.
Rejock: Understood.
Larson: Aye sir.
:: With that Richards left Loleh and Alana alone with the probes. Loleh looked at Alana, slightly confused as to what they should start with. Thankfully, Larson spoke up instead of them just standing there in silence.::
Larson: Well I guess we should get started, we may as well get the probe casings opened up first.
:: Alana moved over to where a probe lay and began removing the outer casing. Loleh began pulling up the specs of the probe to give them something to work with. As Alana worked, Loleh suddenly realized that there was a problem ::
Rejock: Wait! Did you turn off the tampering defenses?
Larson: Thats right I had forgotten about that. Thanks for reminding me.
::Loleh smiled, slightly relieved and yet still horrified at the same time.::
Rejock: No problem...
::The pair continued to work, this time following the specs carefully. They made significant progress, but Loleh couldn't help but wonder what had been so important than Richards had left them to work alone..::
