((Flight Deck, Unknown Deck, USS Daedalus))
Cody: Ladies and gentlemen. First, let us apologize. We determined there wasn't enough time to inform you, and rather than establish communications, decided the best course of action was to descend and beam all of you directly onto the ship. You are aboard the USS Daedlaus, a Prometheus-Class Starfleet vessel. We are currently ascending off planet, which based on what little I saw, I'm sure we're all glad to get off. ::indicating Scythe:: This is Lt.Cmdr. Elizabeth Scythe, the first officer of this vessel. I am Commander David Cody, temporarily commanding this vessel, although it is not my permanent command.
:: Oliver blinked away the final transporter motes and sighed deeply. Partly in relief that what looked like their entire compliment was safely aboard, roughly. And partly at what he knew was about to come. David Cody was no stranger to him by reputation. Once director of Black Tower and since retired, or so the rumor went. Oliver looked at the confused Pete standing next to him and nodded encouragement. He gestured for the PADD the man was holding with a death grip and started typing away once he handed it over. Wasn't much time before it all went down. ::
Blair: Why are we aboard your vessel and not the Gemini, Commander?
Cody: We have been told there are members of the Gemini staff among you. The Gemini is in orbit and we will arrange to have you beamed back aboard your vessel in short order. ::eyes searching:: Where is the Intelligence officer in change of this outpost operation?
:: There it was. Oliver stepped forward, making eye contact with Cody and nodding. ::
Weston: Oliver Weston, Sir.
Cody: I'm afraid we'll need to hold onto you for a bit, as we both know how Intelligence likes to be updated on a timely matter. ::sympathetic:: I'm afraid we're going to have to debrief you, Mr. Weston.
:: Oliver simply nodded. It was Alex who stepped between them, Oliver took the time to finish his last little bit of mischief. He handed the PADD backwards to Peter. ::
Blair: Hold on a moment there Commander. LtCmdr Weston is a member of my crew and will not be going anywhere with anyone until I can account for all members of my team.
Cody: Response?
Blair: I understand that this is you ship, but I have a responsibility to my people as well. Now, I had two people aboard a shuttle that had just crashed. Were your people able to beam them out as well?
Cody: Response?
::Alex was almost afraid to ask his next question, but couldn’t think of a better way to find out the information.::
Blair: Okay then, what’s their status? Did they make it?
Cody: Response?
:: Oliver stepped forward when the last piece of information was given and put his hand on Blair's shoulder. He smiled his usual lopsided grin to his friend and squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. ::
Weston: It's okay, Alex. I'll be alright. Give Liam my best, eh?
Blair: In that case, I won’t delay any longer. I have one simple thing to ask though, please transfer my people back to our ship as soon as possible.
Cody: Response?
Weston: :: Moving to stand beside Cody he pointed at the PADD in Peter's hands. :: Approved Academy placement. :: He winked. :: You're never too old Pete.
Bartholomew: Response?
:: Oliver looked over the assembled survivors from Garridon. His gaze only paused to say goodbye to the two he knew. T'Mar and Blair were both staring at him, likely wondering what would happen next. He nodded encouragement at them both, and hoped his smile said enough. Then he stared at the dinosaur again. Seriously, a frakkin dinosaur on a rescue mission to save them from super bats and a polar storm. Things didn't get any better than that. ::
:: Join Starfleet they said... ::
Cody/Blair/Bartholomew/Carr/T’Mar/Larson/Nicholotti: Response?
