(OOC- So this get's me to the planet! I should be completely caught up soon, guys! -Mel)

((Main Shuttlebay, A-Deck, USS Gemini))

::The space in the turbolift had been somewhat tight, but thankfully T'Mar's small physique had helped her fit into a space in the corner. She did not know Ensign Carr, but she made it a point not to touch people as a rule. Especially Commander Blair. When the two were in close proximities strange behavior tended to occur and she did not have any time to waste on analyzing human behavior. Soon, however, they found themselves in the Shuttlebay, approaching one of the shuttles. They were not the first to arrive.::

Blair: Thank you all for coming so quickly.

Shayne/Mayne/Larson: response

::As she had travelled with Blair, she felt no need to respond to the comment.::

Blair: I know you haven’t been properly briefed on our mission so let’s take care of that right now. The Gemini has achieved orbit of the planet Garridon V. We’ve traced a distress call from LtCmdr Weston to this planet and we are here to help.

Inde: What do we know of the planet Sir?

Shayne/ Mayne/Larson: response

::This she could answer, but the questioned was asked to Blair. She had always tried to be careful not to overstep her role. Sometimes she wanted to take control, not for the power, but because she was used to doing his job. It was a decision that she still struggled with to this day. She knew it was for the best and not a rash decision, but still, it was hard to let go of being 2nd in command.::

Blair: We don’t know much about the planet, but what we do know isn’t good. The planet is currently completely covered in massive storm fronts. These are some serious storms. Sensors are having a tough time penetrating them, and they have essentially made our transporters useless.

Nicholotti: Which makes it difficult just to beam everyone out.

T’Mar: Precisely.

Shayne/ Mayne/Larson: response

Blair: According to Weston’s messages, things are just going to get worse so we either need to find a way to help the people down there or find a way to get them out.

Shayne/ Mayne/Larson: response

Inde:Attepmting to build better structures is in all probability futile at this point. So how should we proceed Commander?

Blair: Once we reach the surface Ensign Inde your first job will be to set up a series of transport enhancers. Larson, your main task is to figure out these storms. The rest of us are going to help out wherever possible. Any questions?

::T'Mar shook her head in the negative motion. She was ready to go ahead and get down to the surface. Once they got down there, she could evaluate properly if the 103rd would be necessary. She was only half-listening as she considered what the conditions were on the surface with the storms rolling in.::

Inde: No Sir.

Moore: You're forgetting about the image of those, 'natives', sir.

Blair: Yes of course, would you share the information Ensign?

Moore: Response

Carr: Any form of sentience or use of technology, sir?

Blair: Unless I missed something, we don’t know much about them, yet.

T'Mar: I only received information of their exsistence shortly before our departing from the bridge. I was unable to gather any information on them, sir.

Shayne/Mayne/Larson: response

Nicholotti: Commander Blair, Chief Jones will be joining us on the trip. I'm sure you don't mind a bit more muscle.

Blair: I’ve got no objections. Chief, welcome to the team. Something tells me we will need all the muscle we can get.

Moore: We may need it.

Blair: If there’s nothing else, let’s get aboard the shuttle. We’ve got people down there waiting for some help. ::pause:: Mister Shayne, once we are all aboard you are cleared to take us out.

Shayne/Mayne/Larson: response

::T'Mar nodded and followed everyone into the shuttle. Once again, it was a tight fit due to Ensign Carr. T'Mar was beginning to think they should have launched two shuttles, one with the 103rd and Ensign Carr, the other with the remaining Away team members.::

Nicholotti: I'm not sure they had tails in mind when they designed these things.

T’Mar: I believe they were designed for more humanoid species, but it is no problem.

::She tried not to sound as cold as she knew she was capable of doing.::

Mayne: response

Carr: It's fine, one learns to adapt. But I hope we won't need to wear specific gear, standard issue rarely comes in my size.

Blair: I wouldn’t worry about that Ensign. If special gear is needed I’m sure we can replicate something for you.

T’Mar: Indeed.

Mayne: response

::With that, Alex made his way to the front of the shuttle. T'Mar typically remained silent to plan out the arrival for the mission. In this case, if she believed in a deity she would pray that they did not crash land like they tended to do.::

Carr: Ensign Siya Irri Isses Carr, by the way. Nice to meet you.

Nicholotti: Kalianna Nicholotti. Doctor.

Jones: Vincent Jones. Friends call me Jonesy.

::T'Mar realized that it would violate social etiquette for her to not respond. She looked over to the Ensign and bowed her head slightly.::

T’Mar: Lieutenant Commander T'Mar. Mission Specialist.

Mayne/Anyone: response

Carr: Response?

::As the conversation was about to bloom, it was interrupted by Commander Blair. Normally, T'Mar would be thankful for such an interruption-small talk was not her forte- the news was not good. Go figure.::

Blair: Hang on everybody, things are about to get a little rough.

Nicholotti: Hopefully not too rough.

T'Mar: If past missions are any indication, it will not pleasant...

::And just as she predicated, the shuttle began shaking in the turbulance. Just once, she wanted a smooth and simple mission. According to probabilty, she was not asking for too much!::
