DeVeau: Hey, how are you feeling?
::There was a short pause, as if he needed a chance to really think
about that question. Alora's gaze darted over the features
Core: Like . . . the doctors gave me a **reeeeeally** strong drug. And
that I am definitely not in any pain.
DeVeau: Not in pain's good. And reeeeeeeeally strong can be good too.
So what's the trouble?
::And possibly influence one's reasoning, but Alora wasn't really all
that informed about medicines and their effects - she'd had so little
need for them in her life and frankly hoped it stayed that way.::
Core: I'm not allowed to leave. And I was lonely. And bored. But more
importantly lonely. And there is this **weird** planty florally smell
around here.
DeVeau: You sure the drugs aren't influencing you?
Core: Come on, Alooora! I'm positive it's not the drugs . . . maybe.
::Alora echoed the whine, the tone nasally and she stomped her foot
lightly a couple of times and shook her hands.::
DeVeau: Come on Tristaaam. ::She grinned, a twinkle dancing in her
eyes.:: All right, all right. Hold up.
::Alora hadn't honestly paid much attention to any scents, despite
Tristam's original request. She focused upon it then, however, and
allowed herself to inhale deeply. There it was, a gentle waft upon the
still air, hovering, sweet and almost fruity. As she recognised it,
her eyebrow shot up.::
DeVeau: Oh! I do smell it!
RESPONSE?
::She shook her head and inhaled again, taking further study of the
perfume that so gently caressed her nose. It was familiar - _very_
familiar. Indeed, it would most likely not be a scent that the Rodulan
would know.::
DeVeau: It's...hyacinth.
RESPONSE?
DeVeau: It's a lovely flower from Earth. It's actually my second
favourite - I have two in my quarters, one deep purple and one bright
pink, but haven't cultivated them so don't have any babies. They aren't
nearly as prolific as African Violets.
::Maybe that should be the next flower she reproduced.::
RESPONSE?
DeVeau: I'm not sure. Maybe one of the doctors or nurses has a hyacinth
plant around here somewhere.
RESPONSE?
