DeVeau: So what are you doing here in the lab? Shore-leave’s started,
shouldn’t you be out partying?


:: He laughed at that. A big laugh, mouth wide and head thrown back. ::


Kells: Well, that was my party right there. Back to work.


:: He winked at her and did turn back to the blanked console, but it was
only to unblank it for a moment as he instructed the computer to
continue its analysis without him. Once done, he gestured toward the
door and then preceded her out. Alora followed willingly and picked up
her pace to catch up to the much taller and longer limbed man::


(( Corridor ))


Kells: Truth to tell, I was mostly waiting for you to stop by. Not that
I'm uninterested in my work -- quite the opposite -- but at this stage,
the computer can handle most of it.


DeVeau: I know what you mean.


Kells: What about you? I didn't call you away from anything wonderful,
did I?


DeVeau: Not really.


:: Alora’s eyes darted about, seeking hidden forms that might have
melted into the walls in preparation to jump out at them should she
utter the wrong words. After a moment, she leaned a little closer to him
and whispered in a conspiratory manner…:::


DeVeau: To be honest, I’m supposed to still be on light duty but I can’t
help but make sure certain processes are started...though I guess I’m
technically on shore leave now. I suppose I’ll take a trip back on to
D-S-X while we’re here.


Kells: I do want to see the station while we're here, before we switch
over to that Astroforty Whatever-It-Is. I still remember, you know,
exploring the place when I was just a new CO. Chased by spiders. I
wonder whatever happened to that android...? Oh, but you weren't
assigned here yet, were you?


DeVeau: No, but I’ve met the spiders - oh, and we found passages! It’s
amazing, that space station.


Kells: Still. I'm sure there's still a lot of mysteries left in those
old walls.


DeVeau: I bet you’re right.


::Mischievousness glinted in those grass-green eyes.::


DeVeau: I have half a mind to lose myself and discover all those secrets
before we leave, but I have a feeling I might lose myself forever in
that place if I try.


RESPONSE?

DeVeau: So tell me about _your_ experience with the spiders. They were
amazing and I really wish I could spend more time with them.
